In terms of appearance, the exterior design of the Hiace 07EV adopts BYD's marine network family design, and the front face is similar to the seal DM-i, but the Hiace 07EV has a more low-lying front and a prominent "nose", and the "deep sea eyes" combination headlights on both sides are very much looking up to the U9 taste. The enclosed front face and exaggerated "C" shaped air duct are reminiscent of the design of the Seagull, which not only enhances the aerodynamics of the vehicle, but also enhances the overall sense of technology.
On the surface, the wheels use a five-spoke Y-shaped bifurcation design, but if you take a closer look, you will find that the overall wheel hub still adopts low wind resistance + color-matching design, and the size of 245/45/R20 is relatively large in the same class, and the Michelin PS EV tires are expensive and Tesla Model Y belongs to the same model, which shows that BYD is very low this time.
On the side of the body, the Hiace 07EV adopts a fastback coupe SUV shape similar to that of the Denza N7, with a raised shoulder line design to create a ready to go. The design of the concealed door handles and floating roof is quite stylish. The body size is 4830/1925/1620mm, and the wheelbase is 2930mm, which is slightly smaller than the big brother Denza N7, which is basically the same as the Chery Fengyun E07 released at the same time at this auto show, ensuring a spacious interior space.
The rear design is also unconventional, equipped with "sparkling dot matrix" continuous taillights similar to the seal DM-i, and the illuminated "BYD" logo gives the rear of the car a very layered look. The upturned blackened ducktail and irregular skeletonised rear wing, as well as the large blackened diffuser at the bottom, emphasise the car's sporty character.
It is worth mentioning that Hiace 07EV also supports NFC key, but the NFC sensing area is not placed on the B-pillar like Tesla and Zeekr, but on the rearview mirror, which to some extent reduces the risk of scratches on the body due to the NFC key.
In terms of interior, the Hiace 07EV continues the design style of the seal DM-i, equipped with a 15.6-inch floating center control screen and DiLink 100 car machine system, embedded full LCD instrument cluster, and four-spoke multi-function steering wheel, etc., and the front row also supports 50w wireless fast charging.
The newly shaped straight centre console and chrome trim accents further enhance the texture of the interior. In addition, the AR-HUD head-up display, integrated sports seats, ventilated/heated seats throughout the car, panoramic canopy with sun blinds, fragrance system, rear center armrest/vents, and other functions are readily available.
In terms of power, the Hiace 07EV offers two rear-wheel drive versions of 170kW and 230kW, as well as a 160kW + 230kW dual-motor four-wheel drive version, which is the same as the Denza N7. In terms of range, the rear-wheel drive version has a range of 550 km and 610 km, respectively, and the all-wheel drive version has a range of 550 km. Based on the e-platform 3.0, the Hiace 07EV is equipped with CTB battery-body integration technology, front double wishbone/rear five-link independent suspension, and the four-wheel drive model will also be equipped with Yunnan-C intelligent damping body control system, iTAC intelligent torque control system, and provide a variety of driving modes such as terrain assist mode, trap assistant mode and drift mode.
