The Range Rover Was hailed as the "Most Beautiful Land Rover" at the beginning of its debut, and it is also an important model for the Land Rover brand to open up a new generation of internal and external family design language. However, from the sales level, Range Rover Star Pulse is not satisfactory, and even in the first year of its initial listing, the sales volume in the first half of the year was less than 2,000 units, which is not even as good as the sales performance of BMW X5 for half a month.
However, Land Rover did not abandon this important model, and recently completed a facelift (2022 model), while maintaining the existing design, the increase in configuration has made it once again a "premium" luxury BMW X5. Today we will take a look at the strength of this luxury SUV?

Exterior design
In terms of front design, the Range Rover Star Vein redesigned car continued the existing design, and the unconnected wave banners in the front face formed a special grid in the grille, and the silver and black borders were decorated with a visual sense of suspension after being connected to the headlight edge structure, so that the intake grille had a visual sense of suspension; and the double standard design within the hood edge and the grille grid also enhanced the vehicle's sense of grade.

In terms of side design, the suspension roof structure was first brought into mass production by Land Rover, and on the angular body pillars, the roof and edge structure appeared to be relatively rounded, and the mix-and-match disposal method allowed it to maintain a sufficient sense of sports avant-garde. The undulating waistline and hidden door handles will optimize the aerodynamic structure of the body, with the black decorative belt running through all four sides of the chassis, the whole car still has a strong sense of the future.
In the design of the rear, the high spoiler with a long extension and the rear bumper that is raised relatively high are all black disposal, and with the black ribbon in the middle area, the size of the body panel in the rear will be relatively small. At the same time, whether it is the spoiler panel at the top or the motion shield and diffuser in the bumper, these are biased towards movement.
In the taillight design, its actual style structure is not penetrating, although the entire actual lighting area is flattened, but the black penetration in the center is actually a decorative belt panel. And, like the front, the light set is consistent with the horizontal surface of the body panel, and the purpose is to optimize the aerodynamic structure.
Interior design
In the central control design, the dashboard and the central control screen adopt a high and low misalignment layout, because the third screen on the gear shift mechanism exists, the size of the central control screen is relatively small, and the air conditioning outlet is hidden between the gap between the upper and lower baffles. The steering wheel adopts a three-panel design with double-layer material splicing, and provides two touch panels on the left and right; the gear shift mechanism is to make the best use of it, and the armrest box and storage structure are relatively large.
On the decorative materials, most of the reachable range is soft bags, and the air outlets, screens and shift function areas are decorated with metal decorations on the edges. The center-control upper bezel and its extensions are diamond-shaped textured leather, while the interior door panels, armrest boxes and seats are also made of leather, and the top of the redesigned model is now available with a free optional Windsor leather service.
On the vehicle system, the three screens are jointly equipped with a set of Pivi Pro car machine system, 11.4-inch touch screen can complete real-time navigation, dual mobile phone interconnection, voice interaction and car connection function, objectively speaking, its voice interaction is more sensitive but the function coverage is limited, air conditioning and sunroof can not be adjusted through it. On the assisted driving system, in addition to the panoramic image, full-speed adaptive cruise and automatic parking are all optional, and the complete system can complete L2+ level automatic driving.

In the cabin space, the size of the Range Rover Star Vein is 4811/1930/1684mm, the wheelbase is 2874mm, which is definitely much smaller than the BMW X5, but the double-row 5-seat layout can still provide 1 punch of the head space for the experiencer of 178cm, and the leg space in the rear row is 2 fists, which is slightly worse than the BMW X5, but the comfort performance is better.
In terms of trunk, the non-full-size spare tire brings a larger storage volume, its base length (depth) width is more than 1 meter, can be put into four trolley boxes at the same time, and it is not a problem to pull medium-sized goods after proportionally putting down.
Mechanical structure
In the power system, Range Rover Will still provide 2.0T L4 and 3.0T L6 engines to choose from, of which the 2.0T engine has a maximum power of 184kW and a peak torque of 365N·m, while the 3.0T maximum power reaches 250kW, the maximum torque is 480N·m, and with 48V light mix system assistance, and the transmission matches them all 8AT. At the same time, all Range Rover Star Pulses are equipped with a full-time four-wheel drive system.
On the suspension system, range rover vein adopts a dual wishbone + multi-link independent suspension combination, and the whole series is equipped with an air suspension system that can adjust height and soft hardness, which can be combined with the all-terrain feedback system to adapt to different road conditions, and the rear axle differential lock is optional.
