It is understood that the "Notice of the Municipal Education Commission and the Municipal Ethnic and Religious Commission on Printing and Distributing the Implementation Plan of Tianjin Municipality on Further Standardizing the Enrollment Policy of High School Schools" (hereinafter referred to as the "Notice") and the "Policy Interpretation" were officially announced today, starting from the 2027 middle school entrance examination, the city will cancel the policy care of outstanding students and outstanding student cadres at the municipal and district levels and adjust the scope of policy care for ethnic minority candidates.
In accordance with the spirit of the Central Ethnic Work Conference and the requirements of the relevant documents of the Ministry of Education and our city, with reference to the practices of Beijing, Shanghai and other provinces and cities, combined with the actual situation of our city, after multi-party research, public solicitation of opinions, discussions and expert argumentation, the Municipal Education Commission and the Municipal Ethnic and Religious Commission formulated the "Notice". Compared with the original policy of our city, the policy care items listed in the "Notice" mainly have the following changes: first, from the 2027 high school entrance examination, the policy of adding 5 points to outstanding students and outstanding student cadres at the municipal level will be cancelled, and the preferential admission policy of outstanding students and outstanding student cadres at the district level will be cancelled; Second, starting from the 2027 high school entrance examination, the policy of taking care of the high school entrance examination for ethnic minority candidates will be adjusted to "in the stage of junior secondary education, ethnic minority candidates who are transferred to the city from the ethnic minority autonomous areas of the 'four regions' (border areas, mountainous areas, pastoral areas, and areas inhabited by ethnic minorities), including autonomous prefectures (leagues), autonomous counties (banners), etc., will be admitted with 5 points when they go on to higher education".
It is worth noting that in order to ensure the orderly convergence and smooth transition of the old and new policies, the implementation plan for further standardizing the policy of taking care of the high school entrance examination announced this time will be officially implemented from the 2027 high school entrance examination, that is, the high school entrance examination in 2024, 2025 and 2026, and the original policy will remain unchanged.
