Why did Yongzheng want to rehabilitate Aobai? Because the 10 emperors of the Qing Dynasty all owe Ao bai a favor

"Convergence Digest" is a daily classic, not seen or scattered.

On the eighth day of the first month of the eighteenth year of the reign of Qing Shunzhi, the young Shunzhi Emperor died of an illness at the age of 24. Xuan Ye, the eight-year-old youngest son of the Shunzhi Emperor, involuntarily embarked on the cusp of history and became the second emperor after the Qing Dynasty entered the Customs.

Considering that Xuan Ye was too young, when the Shunzhi Emperor was dying, he designated Sonny, Suksaha, Shubilong, and Aobai as auxiliary ministers. These four people were all loyal and meritorious Qing Dynasty ministers, so Shunzhi entrusted them with such a heavy responsibility.

Among the four ministers, Sonny was an old minister of the four dynasties, with the highest seniority, but he was a peaceful personality and had no quarrel with the world. Ao bai has a fierce and fierce temperament, "arrogant, and many people are worried", has a strong desire for power, and gradually reveals his ambition to exert authoritarian power. He was a tumbler who saw the wind and steered the wind, and fell to the ao in order to protect himself. Only Suksaha has a straight temperament and has repeatedly confronted Aobai head-on, and the two are in the same situation.

In the sixth year of the Kangxi Dynasty, the highly respected Sony fell ill and died. The balance of power between the four ministers was broken, and Ao Bai took the opportunity to fabricate 24 major crimes against Kangxi and forcibly forced Kangxi to issue a holy decree to execute Suksaha.

Kangxi was 14 years old at the time, fully equipped with the ability to distinguish between right and wrong, and was well aware of Aobai's intentions and refused to give orders. Aobai was furious, "arms up, strong play for days", Kangxi was forced to issue a holy decree when his own safety was already threatened, and as a result, Suksaha and his eldest son Chakdan were executed, and the family property was confiscated, resulting in a sensational unjust case.

Ao Bai got rid of Suksaha, and also completely cleared the road to power for himself, no one in the DPRK and China dared to confront him, and the Manchu Dynasty Wenwu all attached themselves to Ao Bai, and for a while Ao Bai's power was in the sky. Through this incident, Kangxi clearly realized that Aobai's ambition and strength had posed a great threat to his throne.

In the face of a huge crisis, Kangxi, who was only a teenager, burst out of his amazing courage and talent. After some meticulous preparations, he caught Aobai in one fell swoop at a meeting in may of the eighth year of the Kangxi Dynasty and completely cut off this henchman's troubles. All titles and official positions of Ao Bai were stripped away, and he was convicted of the great crime of "carrying the heavy trust of the previous emperor, acting arbitrarily, and bullying the king and abusing his power", and was imprisoned until death.

What is strange is that the Aobai conspiracy against iron handled by Kangxi was overthrown by the fourth son Yongzheng.

In the first year of Yongzheng, the first year of Yongzheng's ascension to the throne, he gave Aobai a high-profile rehabilitation, "giving Aobai a funeral, restoring the first class duke, hereditary resignation", and restoring Aobai's reputation and official title.

Why did Yongzheng go against his father's wishes and rehabilitate Aobai? Because the 10 emperors after the Qing Dynasty entered the customs, they all owed Ao bai a favor.

Why did Yongzheng want to rehabilitate Aobai? Because the 10 emperors of the Qing Dynasty all owe Ao bai a favor

As early as 1643, before the Qing Dynasty entered the customs, there was a fierce battle for the throne within the Qing Dynasty. Emperor Taiji of the Qing Dynasty fell ill and died, and before his death he failed to appoint a successor. Between Emperor Taiji's younger brother Dolgun and Emperor Taiji's eldest son Hauge, in order to compete for the right to inherit the throne, it was almost to the point of fighting each other.

The imperial succession of the Qing Dynasty came to a turning point at this time, either by the descendants of the Imperial Taiji lineage, or by the descendants of the Dolgun lineage.

At the critical moment, Ao Bai resolutely sided with the descendants of Emperor Taiji, opposed Dorgon's succession, and strived to let Emperor Taiji's heirs succeed to the throne.

At the most intense moment of the contradiction, Ao Bai disregarded his personal life and death, "put the sword on the temple", put on a desperate posture, and declared in front of the Manchu Dynasty Wenwu: "The first emperor has a prince, and he will establish one of them." He doesn't know either! ”

With his tough stance, Aobai succeeded in curbing Dorgon's ambitions. Dorgon was forced to give in, and the throne was passed to Shunzhi, the emperor's youngest son. If it were not for the death of Ao bai, the throne would probably have been transferred to the Dorgon branch.

In other words, if there is no Aobai, the 10 emperors after the Qing Dynasty entered the Customs, from Shunzhi to Xuantong, as descendants of the branch of the Emperor Taiji, will always lose the emperor's throne.

In this sense, these 10 emperors all owe Ao bai a great favor. It is not surprising that Yongzheng rehabilitated Aobai.
