According to the "Records of Wanquan County", the Jade Emperor Pavilion was built in the tenth year of Ming Xuande (1435), sitting north and facing south, a trapezoidal structure of square pillars, composed of two parts: a pier and a temple pavilion, with a height of 12 meters and a construction area of 462.5 square meters. The main hall is a three-drop water-laced roof structure, with three floors of pavilion style, three wide and three deep rooms with a perimeter corridor, and three stepping arches under the eaves on the second floor.

The main hall is flanked by east and west wing rooms, bell and drum towers, south heavenly gates and wooden archways, and the "Cultural Revolution" east and west wing houses, south heavenly gates and wooden arches have been demolished, and only part of the ruins are left. On the first floor of the main hall is the Hall of the Three Officials, which is decorated with three holy statues of Heavenly Officials, Earth Officials, and Water Officials. The head of the second floor of the main hall hangs a horizontal plaque "Jade Emperor Pavilion". In the middle of the hall, there is a statue of the Jade Emperor, sitting in a wooden niche.

In May 2006, the Jade Emperor Pavilion was announced by the State Council as the sixth batch of national key cultural relics protection units.
