Previously, if there was no abuse of a child who had been bribed and did not obstruct his rescue, he could not be held criminally responsible. The difference is obvious, from not being held accountable to being given a lighter punishment. The implementation of Amendment (IX) to the Criminal Law is conducive to reducing the demand for bribery and reducing the occurrence of the crime of abduction and trafficking from the source. Sun Zhuo's adoptive parents adopted (bought) Sun Zhuo in 2007, and according to the criminal law's "principle of taking the old and taking it lightly", they may not have to go to jail.

"If the child abduction case is not solved for a day, and the missing abducted child is not recovered for a day, the public security organs will do their best to find out to the end."
