Today is Children's Day, as the youngest member of the China Welfare Association family, the Shanghai Children's Art Theater, nicknamed "The Big Whale", staged a newly produced multimedia animated children's drama " Chinese version of "Invisible Friends".

This is the second production after the theater successfully launched the first self-produced drama in July 2017, the Chinese version of the Spanish multimedia animation children's drama "I Want to Fly, Go to the Moon", which is also a funded project of the Shanghai Cultural Development Foundation.

Two years ago, Spanish director Cynthia Miranda created and directed "I Want to Fly, Go to the Moon", which seamlessly combines vivid live-action performances and interesting animated images to bring children a refreshing feeling. The play "flew" into the large and small communities of Shanghai, completed more than 100 performances, and the pace of the tour has reached Beijing, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Wenzhou, Harbin and other cities.

The enthusiasm of the young audience prompted the Shanghai Children's Art Theater to join hands with the original team again. After more than a year of preparation and hard work, the advanced article "Invisible Friend" of "I want to fly, go to the moon" was born.

The play tells the story of how a little girl overcomes her fears and treats her "friends": the protagonist Mia is afraid of almost everything until one day she imagines a friend Frida for herself. With Frida by her side, Mia became courageous to face all that she feared.

Over the years, Mia grew up and gradually forgot Frida. When Mia was in trouble and needed Frida again, she couldn't find her anymore...

How the story ends is, only after watching the scene can we know. But this story hopes to share the "power of imagination" with everyone - as long as there is imagination, anything is possible.

In terms of presentation form, the form of combining live-action performance and animation projection is also adopted to adapt to the flexible and diverse performance space. However, the "one-man show" of "I want to fly, go to the moon" is different, "Invisible Friends" has two actors participating in and playing multiple roles, and invited well-known hosts in Shanghai, Such as Jin Wei, Xia Lei, Xu Weijie and others to voice the cartoon characters in the play, and the excellent voice expression of the "famous mouths" adds a lot to the role.
