Huang Jiguang, a special hero who sacrificed himself in the Battle of Shangganling!
Huang Jiguang was born in 1931 in Zhongjiang County, Deyang City, Sichuan Province, and he joined the Chinese People's Liberation Army in the spring of 1949!
After the outbreak of the Korean War, Huang Jiguang came to Korea with his troops. At the beginning, Huang Jiguang was actually not a combat soldier, he was a communication soldier in the battalion headquarters, but in the later stages of the war, whether it was a communication soldier or even a cooking squad, he had to go to the front line!
On the night of October 19, 1952, the Volunteer Army attacked Hill 597.9 in the Battle of Shangganling, and Huang Jiguang's battalion was one of the main units responsible for attacking Hill 597.9.
During the battle, the U.S. army had a group fire point in Position Zero, and in order to attack the hill, it was necessary to first destroy this fire point. The battalion chief of staff sent three consecutive groups of demolition teams, but the demolitionists were all killed or wounded during the impact. It was nearly dawn on the 20th, and if this fire point could not be quickly destroyed and the position of the main peak of Zero could be captured, the entire fighter would be delayed. The six companies suffered heavy casualties, and only a few people were able to participate in the attack.
At this time, Huang Jiguang took the initiative to ask for help, to participate in the demolition team, Huang Jiguang and his comrades-in-arms formed the demolition team began to advance towards the fire point. After several fruitless attacks, Huang Jiguang was also injured. I thought that if I could not blow up this bunker again, then more comrades would die and the fighters would be delayed!
Huang Jiguang endured severe pain and slowly climbed towards the enemy's bunker. When you are approaching, use all your strength. Jump up and block the enemy's bunker machine guns, and sacrifice heroically!
After Huang Jiguang's death, on March 30, 1953, the 15th Army Committee of the Chinese Communist Party Volunteer Army posthumously recognized him as a "model member" and posthumously recognized him as a member of the Communist Party of China
Because at that time, Huang Jiguang was not yet a member of the Communist Party, but a member of the Communist Youth League. Later, he was named a grand hero!

They found Huang Jiguang's body in front of the enemy position, and Luo Xicheng wrapped Huang Jiguang's body. Then tie it on your back. Walk back quickly, with bullets flying by your ears from time to time!
After returning to the position, the whole person basically collapsed, his back was covered with blood, and he couldn't tell whether he was injured or not. After washing my back, I found that I was not injured!
Why should I wrap Huang Jiguang's body, because at that time, Huang Jiguang's body was incomplete. A lot of places were blown up, including inside the stomach!
After the victory in the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, Luo Xicheng returned to China with his troops, and was later demobilized and returned home. When he was interviewed in his later years, his biggest wish was to return to Shangganling to have a look!
