Century Hengtong Online Tips: "Méng Qiu" is a children's literacy textbook compiled by Li Han (hàn) in the Tang Dynasty to introduce the palm and the knowledge of various subjects. The whole book uses four rhyming words, each four words is a short sentence with a subject-predicate structure, and the upper and lower sentences become dual, and each speaks a palm, totaling 2484 words.

【Allusions】Jiang Xu Three Paths: The allusion is from the "Three Auxiliary Decisions and Escapes". Jiang Xu was an official during the Western Han Dynasty, when the world was in chaos, Jiang Xu retired in a hurry, resigned his official position and returned to his hometown. However, when he returned home, he was reluctant to clean the courtyard, and the weeds grew wildly, and the only thing he did was to open three paths in front of his home to allow guests to enter the courtyard.

Xu Youyi: The allusion is from "Qin Cao". During the reign of Emperor Yao, Xu Yu did not want to be emperor, so he ran to the Ji Mountains to live in seclusion. Here, Xu Yu lives casually, and there is not even a suitable tableware. Even if you drink water, you don't use a water scoop. When someone saw it, they gave him a water scoop. After Xu Yu drank the water, he hung the water scoop on the branch with his hand, who knew that a breeze was blowing, blowing the water scoop to make a "ding-ding" sound, Xu Yu felt upset after hearing the sound, picked up the water scoop and threw it far aside.

[Appreciation] Jiang Xu and Xu You both possessed noble moral character, were not seduced by fame and fortune, and were willing to choose a life of poverty, which was a rare and valuable point.

Yang Shu was not a man from Hangu Guannei, for which he was so ashamed that the emperor allowed him to become a Hangu Guan, and Du Pre had great insight and built a bridge connecting the north and south of the Yellow River.

【Allusions】Yang Shu Shift Guan: The allusion is from the Book of Han and the Chronicle of Emperor Wu. Yang Shu was a major general during the han wudi period and had great military achievements, but he was a person outside of HanguGuan, and people at that time were proud to be Hanguguan. To this end, he wrote a letter directly to the emperor, hoping that Emperor Wu of Han would be able to move Hangu Guandong so that he could become a Hangu Guanren. In recognition of Yang Shu's merits, Emperor Wu of Han immediately ordered that the Hangu Pass be moved three hundred miles east.

Du Pre-Jianqiao: Allusions from the "Jin Shu Du Pre-Biography". Du Pre was a minister during the reign of Emperor Wu of Jin, with profound knowledge and many correct suggestions for the development planning of the country. At the Mengjin Ferry of the Yellow River at that time, due to the strong wind and waves, there were many incidents of boat overturning, and Du predicted that in this case, he proposed to build a bridge here. His proposal was unanimously approved by everyone, and after the bridge was repaired, it became an important transportation hub connecting the north and south of the Yellow River.
