Fan Jian saw Yu Fang washing his ears and asked, "What is the dirt on the ears?" Yu Yue: "No dirt, smell the evil whispers." "What kind of speaker?" Yu Yue: "Yao hired me as the Son of Heaven." He said, "What is evil in the throne?" Yu Yue: "I am determined to be in Qingyun, why am I still inferior to Kyushu Wu Changhu?" So Fan Jianfang drank the cattle, smelled his words, and drank in disgrace. ”

Emperor Fu's "Gao Shi Chuan Chao Father" says that Xu Yu gave yao Zen to the nest father, "The nest father said: 'Why doesn't Ru hide the ru form, hide the ru light, if it is not my friend.'" 'Strike at it. From the unconsciousness of self-satisfaction, but through the water of the clear water washed his ears and wiped his eyes. ”

There are different theories about "leading the calves to drink from the upper stream". It is said that the nest father washed his ears and did not see the evidence. The Ancient Shi Kao of the Zhou Dynasty refers to the nest father as Xu You, which is called "nest by washing ears", "nest father washing ears", or therefore.

【Interpretation】 Xu Yujie nourished his nature, traveled to the mountains and forests, and felt that his ears were polluted when he heard Yao give way to himself, so he washed his ears with water; Fan Jian or Chao Father even used the water that Xu Yu washed his ears as turbid and did not want the cattle to drink water downstream. Later, he used "allowing to wash your ears, the nest by washing your ears, the nest father washing your ears, and washing your ears" to express that you were ashamed to touch the worldly things, and your mind was open to things; "nest by ears" was used to say that the body and mind could not tolerate the worldly; "earwashing, earwashing, and high-ranking people" was used to refer to people who were detached from the world and did not ask about the world; and "fortunate to drink cattle" was used to refer to places that were not polluted or polluted.
