The saint abandons his knowledge, and the great thief stops. --"Zhuangzi 胠箧"

It kept bouncing along the road, and when it looked at the donkey riding the soybeans and was exhausted and breathless, it felt bad.

At this time, the donkey carrying soybeans is still stepping steadily, while the donkey driving cotton is swayed by the wind, twisting from side to side, just as it complains, the sky is raining heavily, it begins to feel that there is weight on its back, and its feet slowly do not listen to the call, and its heart is inevitably secretly anxious. At this time, the rain is getting heavier and heavier. The donkey in the cotton gradually felt physically weak. Finally, at the top of the mountain, I finally rolled the cotton belt down the deep valley by myself.
In life, people are sometimes like the little donkey who thinks he is smart and wise, relying on his so-called "intelligence" to put himself in a favorable situation, but many times, when this "intelligence" reaches a pole, it becomes a burden.
When Song Yuanjun went to sleep at night, he dreamed that someone was peeping by the side door with his hair scattered, looked at him and said: "I come from the abyss called Zilu, and I went to the residence of Hebo as an emissary of Qingjiang, but the fisherman She, who did not know the reason, accidentally captured me..." After Song Yuanjun woke up in the morning, he immediately sent someone to divinate. The fortune-teller said, "This is a turtle." Song Yuanjun immediately asked, "Is there any fisherman named Shehe?" The attendant replied, "Yes." Song Yuanjun said, "Tell You to come and see me."
The next day, Shehe was ordered to come on a pilgrimage to see Song Yuanjun. Song Yuanjun looked at him and asked, "What did you catch yesterday?" She replied, "I caught a white turtle in my net, about five feet in circumference." Song Yuanjun nodded with satisfaction and said, "Sacrifice the white turtle you caught." And obediently retreated. Later, when the white turtle arrived, Song Yuanjun wanted to kill it for a while, and then wanted to raise it for a while, and he hesitated. So he asked Ji Ji and said, "Kill the white turtle for divination." It must be auspicious. So Song Yuanjun ordered people to cut open the white turtle and hollow it out, and used the turtle board to divinate dozens of times without any mistakes. The crowd is magical.
After confucius knew about this, Confucius shook his head and said, "The divine turtle can show the dream to Song Yuanjun, but it cannot avoid the dark net, nor can it predict its own end." Although the Divine Turtle's talent and intelligence divination has not made a mistake dozens of times, it cannot find the correct way to escape for itself. ”
In this way, when the intellect is indeed embarrassed, even the gods will have something that they cannot consider. Then, ordinary people, even with the highest wisdom, are equally invincible to the plans of thousands of people. Just like fish in the water, even if they are not afraid of the net, they are afraid of cormorants. Therefore, people must know how to abandon their own little wisdom at the right time, so that they can show great wisdom and remove their own manneristic good deeds, so that they can truly return to nature and return to their own nature.
Some people say that enlightenment is an innate, natural, essential thing. People can't change. Therefore, many people always envy the intelligence of those who are smart, but this superficial light does not necessarily make smart people successful, because intelligence always has a time to be embarrassed. As we all know, in the world of music, it is very important to have skills and techniques, but this is not the most important, because too many fancy tricks will only weaken people's true expression of emotions. The same is true of life, if everyone plays with wisdom excessively, it will only make the world more complicated and messy, a little confused, in order to live simply and peacefully.
The Tao Te Ching says, "The absolute saint abandons wisdom, and the people benefit a hundredfold." This fully shows that Lao Tzu was opposed to flaunting saints and to showing off the ideas of the world's wisdom and discernment. Because Lao Tzu believed that if people did not show off their wisdom, they would have a peaceful and peaceful life. This would have been a very possible life, but it was disturbed by some "wise men" who flaunted saints and wisdom. That's why it's so complicated, so messy now. The world craves to be wise, but they don't know. There are too many people who are tired of being smart and mistaken.
There is a parable in Zhuangzi Tiandi about Yao's dialogue with his teacher:
Yao's teacher is Xu You, Xu You's teacher is Xiao Que, and The teacher who is missing is Wang Ni. One day Yao went to consult Xu Yu and said, "Can you be the Son of Heaven?" I want to invite him through Wang Ni. Xu Yu shook his head after listening to Yao's question and replied, "I'm afraid this will endanger the world!" Lacking this person, he is intelligent, alert and agile, talented, and able to achieve natural with human resources. Although he knows how to prevent mistakes, he cannot know where these mistakes come from. If he were to be the Son of Heaven, he would abandon nature by virtue of manpower. He will distinguish between people and me in the human body, will be clever and eager to use, so that he will also be enslaved by small things, tied up by external objects, and finally look around and be overwhelmed, although he is demanding perfection in everything, but he cannot maintain normalcy with the changes of external objects. So he is not qualified to be the Son of Heaven..."
There is no doubt that everyone wants to be intellectually superior and capable, to be able to figure out what others mean, to be different. But if you think you are outstanding and intelligent, and always think that you are great, better than all people, then this kind of thinking is a curse.
