The reason is that Jia Zhifang was notoriously naughty when she was a child, jumping up and down on weekdays, causing a lot of mess for the elders to carry! Combined with his mischievous and outgoing personality, several uncles in the family agreed that Jia Zhifang was not the material to calm down and read at all.
Therefore, under the weight of weighing, they decided to put the heavy responsibility of the family business on Jia Zhifang's shoulders, first follow the uncle who sells opium to the northwest for a while, and then return to inherit the family business.
This may be the trouble of the descendants of the big family, who obviously want to develop themselves down-to-earth, but they have long been arranged by the family!

After tasting the pleasure and sweetness of writing, Jia Zhifang's enthusiasm was out of control. In January 1936, I remember that it was New Year's Day, and every family sat around a table to welcome the arrival of the new year on time.
But Jia Zhifang and other young people are still running around in the cold days – they are participating in the famous "129" student movement.
The mighty student procession lined up the streets, waving banners and holding newspapers and magazines full of truth and defiance, shouting in their mouths not to oppress, just to turn over and be the masters.
However, where there is oppression, there is resistance, and the converse is still reasonable.

Just after New Year's Day, 19-year-old Jia Zhifang was arrested and imprisoned for being a participant in the student movement, which was also the first time Jia Zhifang went to prison.
Originally, Jia Zhifang, who was arrested and imprisoned, was very calm in his heart, after all, the revolution had to pay sacrifices, which was the inevitable end of the conservation of energy, so Jia Zhifang ate pickles in prison as usual and lived a life that suited his heart.
However, a few days later, Jia Zhifang learned that he was arrested and imprisoned not because of "gathering crowds to make trouble", but was detained as a "suspect"!

In 1937, two months after the outbreak of the July 7 Incident, Jia Zhifang, who could not stay in Japan, decided to return to China to develop. After participating in the training class for students studying in Japan, Jia Zhifang was appointed as a Japanese officer, and everything was developing in a good direction.
In 1942, the 26-year-old Jia Zhifang finally ushered in his love, the other party was a rich lady named Ren Min, a rich lady from the Jia family.

Ren Min's arrival was like a polar night light, shining into Jia Zhifang's houses by the Yellow River, not only the tile houses, including Jia Zhifang's atrium, all of which were illuminated in an instant!
The two had no parental witness, nor did they have the marriage certificate, so they naturally became partners.
Although there is nothing to guarantee in this marriage, they have also worked together to survive the ups and downs of the rest of their lives, and no one will say abandoned.
Also in 1942, just three months after Jia Zhifang and Ren Min established the relationship between husband and wife, Jia Zhifang was arrested and imprisoned for the second time for work reasons.
This time in prison for three months, Jia Zhifang was locked up with a group of people who had committed various things, but he did not have the self-esteem of his literati, but was safe and self-assured.
In Ren Min's words, after more than ten years of imprisonment and the hard days of labor reform, they have lost the weak book anger of the past and have become more robust than in the past.
Perhaps knowing that he would see the light of day again sooner or later, Jia Zhifang ate and drank well in prison and was very concerned about his physical health.
Even if there are only two meals a day, it is only corn nests and pickles, Jia Zhifang also eats with relish.
Three months later, Jia Zhifang was released from prison, and in order to give Ren Min a safe haven, Jia Zhifang was no longer a Japanese officer, but took the only eight yuan on his body and went to Shanghai to make a living.
Because of his advantages and love, Jia Zhifang, who came to Shanghai, decided to start his own magazine, but he could not imagine that the third prison disaster would follow.
In 1947, Jia Zhifang was arrested and imprisoned for the third time for one year for writing articles for progressive students.
Compared with those hooligans, the literati Jia Zhifang has become a regular visitor in prison, and Jia Zhifang has suddenly come to this point.
When he is released from prison again, the haze in front of him has dissipated, and Jia Zhifang will also start a new life of his own. Countless units threw olive branches to Jia Zhifang, but Jia Zhifang was not willing to embark on the career path, after what he saw and heard in the first half of his life, Mr. Jia only wanted to engage in education at that moment and let the new generation of young people join the vast ranks.
Therefore, Jia Zhifang returned to Fudan University as a professor and passed on his painstaking efforts without reservation.
Those few years were a rare and stable life in the lives of Jia Zhifang and his wife Ren Min, although they had no children, but it was also a wonderful thing for the two of them to work together and support each other.
In 1955, Jia Zhifang could not have imagined that he would actually be imprisoned for the fourth time.

At that time, Jia Zhifang had long become a well-known professor with a reputation and prestige in Fudan University, and peach and plum were all over the world, but the cruel reality still did not let such an old man go.
In 1955, the loud slogan of "opposing Hu Feng" resounded throughout the streets, and as Hu Feng's close friend for many years, Jia Zhifang could not escape interrogation.
At this time, the first thing a wise person naturally avoids the limelight and denies it. However, Jia Zhifang was stubborn and stubborn, he had been taken care of by Hu Feng many times before, and at such a critical moment, he did not allow himself to leave the relationship behind!
In order to prove Hu Feng's innocence, Jia Zhifang even wrote a poem for him on the cusp of the storm:
"The vicissitudes are vast, the dragon is natured and easy to tame."
Yes, in the big era of blossoming everywhere and being quagmire everywhere, Jia Zhifang and Hu Feng are difficult dragons to tame, and they can only live in the vast sky, but cannot be confined to the closed burrow!
Because of defending Hu Feng, 40-year-old Jia Zhifang was imprisoned for the fourth time, and this time he was imprisoned for 11 years!
When Jia Zhifang was around, the wind and rain in the world bypassed Ren Min and blew on Jia Zhifang's shoulder. Now Jia Zhifang is facing a prison disaster with no return date, and Ren Min is also unable to protect himself.
Because the nature of Jia Zhifang's body is too complicated, Ren Min, as a pillow person, cannot escape bad luck. On the third day of Jia Zhifang's detention, Ren Min was taken to Shanghai to be guarded.
At that time, the requirement was that if you want to protect yourself, you would resolutely draw a clear line with Jia Zhifang, and publicly state that you had nothing to do with Jia Zhifang!
Such a request is actually very simple for Ren Min, after all, she and Jia Zhifang have never received a marriage license at all, as long as she writes a letter of guarantee denying the relationship, she can enjoy her old age in peace.
However, Ren Min did not, she was like Jia Zhifang, a stubborn temper that the cow could not pull back.
Because of Ren Min's insistence, she was later imprisoned for 16 months and experienced the hard life of her husband in prison for so many years.
In 1959, Ren Min was sent to work as a primary school teacher in the countryside of Qinghai, and for several years, she rarely had time to regain her freedom, often just after being arrested and imprisoned on a random crime.
But even so, in the years of exile, Ren Min never moved the idea of divorcing Jia Zhifang.
In 1962, Ren Min was finally able to travel freely, and she decided to return to Jia Zhifang's hometown of Xiangfen, Shaanxi Province.
After half a century of changes, Jia Zhifang's family has long lived up to the glory of that year, just an ordinary peasant family, but Ren Min is not abandoned, once she was a big miss of the Shangjia family, she was willing to go to Xiangfen as a peasant woman.
There was a reason for her choice. Ren Min wanted to come, if one day Jia Zhifang was released, then he would definitely return to his hometown, so that the two would not have to be separated, and second, here Ren Min could also take care of Jia Zhifang's parents and do filial piety for him.
Jia Zhifang never regretted his defense of Hu Feng that year, and he didn't even look at how long the sentence was served on the verdict, because no matter how long it took, he Jia Zhifang was willing to bear it!
Ren Min has been a farmer in Xiangfen for 11 years, and she only has one sentence for her insistence day after day: I believe he will come back!
Of course, 11 years of imprisonment is not to say that it can be spent, those lonely nights, those silent depressions, Jia Zhifang is powerless to express.
What has sustained him through the long nights and years is not only his insistence on the truth, but also his commitment to his wife.
At that time, Ren Min went around entrusting people to make some connections, and finally learned about the prison where Jia Zhifang was imprisoned, in order to let Jia Zhifang not lose hope, Ren Min sent Jia Zhifang a package representing misses.
Inside this cloth bag, there are four red dates and four walnuts, and a pair of cloth shoes sewn by Ren Min.
Don't doubt why Ren Min would spend a lot of money to send a package containing walnuts and dates, because it carries a vow to cross mountains and rivers.
In Xiangfen, Shanxi, red dates and walnuts are auspicious things, Jia Zhifang saw these two things, immediately understood that his wife has arrived in her hometown to settle down, and also understood that her wife has been waiting for her to return home!
Later, a couple of lovers who learned that the two sides lived in the residence would send a letter of mutual peace every year, in which they all instructed each other to take care of their health, eat and drink well, and strive for an early reunion!
After 11 years, Jia Zhifang was finally released, but there was still a 13-year career in the transformation of the printing plant.
For this result, Jia Zhifang and Ren Min are already very satisfied, as long as the two can reunite, no matter what dirty work, they are willing to bear it together.
Ren Min spent most of his savings, took a train to Shanghai, and finally reunited with Jia Zhifang in Fudan's printing factory.
After the two got together, they talked to each other, and Ren Min and Jia Zhifang knew that the two of them had lived a hard life all these years, but they didn't want each other to worry and despair, so they reported good news and didn't report worry!
Fortunately, after 5 years of solo exile in Qinghai and 11 years of isolation from news, the two were finally able to hold the hand of their son and grow old with their son.
They frothed with each other and lived a stable life for more than a decade, until 1997, when Ren Min suddenly suffered a stroke and was bedridden.
This disease has been sick for five years, and the expensive medical expenses of the stroke have almost exhausted Jia Zhifangshan, but no matter what, Jia Zhifang has always refused to accept inferior medical treatment, and must let Ren Min's life get the greatest continuation.
In order to make up for the medical expenses, 80-year-old Jia Zhifang quietly began to sort out his life's diary, letters, old manuscripts, as well as various essays and novels.
Not for anything else, just to get paid.
This old gentleman does not dare to slack off every day in his writing, and he is willing to give everything to his lover.
Whenever the publishing house remits the manuscript fee, Jia Zhifang does not look at it, directly asks the students to help, and quickly sends it to the hospital to pay!
However, five years later, Ren Min finally died under the torment of illness.
Jia Zhifang, who used to be very detached from the matter of life and death, often went to participate in various farewell ceremonies at the crematorium, he said:
In the crematorium, the old people are replaced by new people, only the nail on the wall remains unchanged, today we hung this statue, we bowed our heads in silence at the bottom, tomorrow we do not know who is on top and who is below.
However, when the parting of life and death happened to himself and Ren Min, this old gentleman showed the weakness that all mortals have, and at Ren Min's funeral, Jia Zhifang suddenly knelt down and said over and over again to Ren Min's last photo:

In the spring of 2008, 92-year-old Jia Zhifang followed Ren Min, a true intellectual who completed his bumpy and legendary life.
