Jia Zhifang is a famous writer, translator, scholar and professor at Fudan University.
Shao Xunmei's father-in-law was Shangshu ShengXuanhuai of the Ministry of Posts and Communications at the end of the Qing Dynasty, and his wife was the eldest lady of the Sheng family. The Shao family had five members, and there were more than thirty servants. He was a British student, a Crescent poet, essayist, publisher, and translator.
The two met in prison, both happy and sad. A few years later, Professor Jia Zhifang recalled this experience, which made people sigh when they read it.
