Where is the charm of Tang poetry? When I was a teenager, I always felt that its charm lay in either swinging intestines or elegant and beautiful words; when I grew up, I realized that the charm of Tang poetry was far more than that. Behind the well-known verses, hidden is the joy and sorrow of the poets, and these are the reasons why Tang poetry has become warm. If you don't believe me, take a look at the following two poems.

Bai Juyi did not give himself face, and Han Yue was so angry that he wrote a poem for each of them, all of which were famous works for thousands of years

In 823, the 56-year-old Han Yu served as a servant of the bureaucracy, and when he was nearly a flower armour, he rose on a whim to ask his old friend Bai Juyi and his apprentice Zhang Zhi to accompany him to enjoy the spring. I didn't expect that the two did not give themselves face, did not want to play with themselves, and the reasons were similar, probably saying that they were too busy, and the reason for this resignation was similar to the excuse we were looking for today. So Han Yue was so angry that he wrote a naughty poem to each of them, and as a result, these two poems have become masterpieces throughout the ages and have been passed down to this day. Let's first look at what Zhang Zhi wrote:

"Early Spring Presents the Eighteen Members of the Water Department"

The light rain on the sky street is as moist as crisp, and the grass color is close but not there.

The most is the benefit of spring of the year, which is better than the smoke and willow full of imperial capital.

This is a seven-word poem, Zhang Zhi once worshiped under Han Yu's door, and the two were both teachers and friends, and had a very good relationship. Zhang Yuan, who was once a member of the Water Department, ranked 18th in the family, so Han Yu called him "The Eighteen Members of the Water Department Zhang Eighteen", which was very naughty.

Needless to say, the classic degree of this poem is selected for primary school textbooks every year. The first sentence is very stunning at the beginning, using ghee to describe the spring rain, not only writing the fineness of the rain, but also writing the aura of the rain. The second sentence has a very extreme life experience, and from a distance, the spring grass has grown out and become a piece, but it is still sparse at close range. These two sentences seem simple, but they are ethereal, quite poetic when Wang Wei wrote poetry.

The last two sentences are properly advised to Zhang Yuan. Han Yu believes that this early spring is the most beautiful season of the year, and after a while the green willows are full, there will be no such freshness. Generally people love the spring scenery when the smoke willows are full of imperial capitals, but Han Yu has ingeniously sung early spring, and has also grasped the spring rain and spring grass to write a unique scenery of early spring, which is why this poem can stand out among many Wing Chun poems.

Bai Juyi did not give himself face, and Han Yue was so angry that he wrote a poem for each of them, all of which were famous works for thousands of years

Let's look at the second poem, a poem written to Bai Juyi. For many years of friends, Han Yu's tone is also very interesting:

"Tongshui Department Zhang Member Foreign Qu Jiang ChunYou Send Bai Twenty-two Sheren"

The desert is light and cloudy and opens at night, and the blue sky and white sun reflect the terrace.

The water of the Qujiang River is full of flowers and trees, and it refuses to come when it is busy.

From a poetic point of view, this poem was written by Han Yu and Zhang Zhi after returning from play, in order to tell Bai Juyi how happy they were outside and how beautiful the scenery outside was, which was intentional to make Bai Juyi regret not going.

It is also written about the spring scene, this time Han Yu wrote about the early sunny evening after the rain. By the Qu River, the clouds disperse on their own in the evening, the blue sky is white, the blue sky is like a wash, and the twilight reflects the terrace, which has a sense of beauty. The water of the Qujiang River is already full, thousands of trees on both sides of the river are blooming, and the water and flowers are in perfect harmony. The first three sentences seem bland, but they perfectly integrate the four scenes of water, flowers, heaven and building. At the end of the pen, I did not forget to weakly ask Bai Juyi: You don't look at such a beautiful view, what is so busy with it?

These two poems are actually only gifts between Han Yu and his friends, and they are written in small things, but they are highly respected by later generations and have been circulated for more than 1,000 years. From the poems, we see the sincere friendship between the poets of the Tang Dynasty, and we also see their naughtiness. The words themselves may be cold, but the poets behind the words are lovely, and only by understanding the poet's mood and anger and then reading these verses can we find their magic. Do you like these two poems? Discussion is welcome.
