At that time, after inspecting the workers' revolution in France, Li Fuchun joined the Chinese Communist Youth League in Europe organized by Premier Zhou in light of China's actual conditions, and Deng Xiaoping also joined it later.

But at that time, Deng Xiaoping had already reinstated his post under the basis of the central government's arguments, and finally he met Li Fuchun for the last time and held a mourning meeting for him, and for more than a month after Li Fuchun's death, Deng Xiaoping was also exhausted and mentally weak, and perhaps the death of his best friend who had accompanied him for many years made him feel extremely sad.

Before the Red Army crossed the meadow, Deng Xiaoping was appointed by the organization to become the propaganda director of the political department of the Red First Army at that time, while Nie Rongzhen at that time served as the political commissar of the Red First Army. The experience of studying and joining the party together is deeply hidden in the hearts of the two, and after meeting again, the two have the excitement of a long-term reunion.

On April 12, 1992, Nie Rongzhen felt that the limit was approaching, so he asked his secretary to bring him a tape recorder and began to record his last words, and he also stressed at the end of his last words that "... I very much agree with Comrade Deng Xiaoping's important remarks on inspecting the South..." It is not difficult to see his trust in Deng Xiaoping.
