On the afternoon of May 9th, the New Era Civilization Practice Station of Dongyuan Community, Wangcheng Street, carried out the handicraft activity of "Painted Gypsum Doll Flying Colorful Childhood".
At the beginning of the activity, the volunteer teachers first distributed the materials to each child, and then introduced the children to the process of making plaster dolls and painting, and then the children poured the prepared plaster water into the mold and waited for their own work.
In the process of waiting, the children received the plaster dolls that the teacher had dried in advance for painting, they were like a stucco painter, using their imagination to smear different colors of paint on the pure white plaster dolls, and after a while, a vivid and interesting "little doll" was presented as if by magic, cute kittens, cute puppies, dolls wearing gorgeous princess dresses...... Looking at the painted dolls made by themselves, everyone's faces also bloomed with happy smiles.
Plaster painting is half science, half art. Through this activity, the children not only enjoyed the charm of handicraft, but also cultivated the children's color perception ability, so that their extracurricular life added a different color and fun. (Text/Xu Bo)
