"Thanks to the procuratorate for pointing out the problems existing in the management of our company and giving us procuratorial suggestions. A few days ago, the director of the loss prevention department of a fresh food platform came to the Baoshan District Procuratorate in Shanghai and presented a pennant to the prosecutor.
In December 2023, the public security organ received a report from a supply chain company, saying that the company's main business is to distribute goods from the general warehouse of a fresh food platform to stores in Shanghai.
According to the clues, the police arrested Guo, the driver of Supply Chain Company A, and Hao, the recipient of stolen goods, and traced down Luo, the driver of Supply Chain Company B, and arrested Luo. After investigation, it was ascertained that Guo and Luo respectively took advantage of their positions as distribution drivers of supply chain companies A and B to transport fresh aquatic products to a fresh platform site for unloading, and adopted the method of not draining or draining less water, delivering less fresh aquatic products, and intercepting some shrimp and fish to sell stolen goods to Hao.
On January 25 this year, the Baoshan District Procuratorate made a decision to approve the arrest of Guo and Luo on suspicion of embezzlement, and a decision to approve the arrest of Hao on suspicion of covering up and concealing criminal gains. On March 12, the case was transferred for review and prosecution.
In the process of handling the case, through visiting the scene of the crime and meeting with the person in charge of the loss prevention department of the relevant company, the prosecutor found that for the occurrence of the case, supply chain companies A and B and a fresh food platform both had regulatory responsibilities. A and B supply chain companies have loopholes in the transportation of goods, do not fully review the information in the process of driver recruitment, lack of training for drivers and rule of law publicity; Sales were sorted out and counted, resulting in a crime that lasted for up to 6 months.
On February 5, in order to effectively prevent the breeding of illegal crimes and promote comprehensive social governance, the court issued procuratorial suggestions to the above three companies, suggesting that supply chain companies A and B should improve management rules and regulations, strengthen screening work in the process of personnel recruitment, and improve the awareness of staff norms;
After receiving the procuratorial suggestions, supply chain companies A and B attach great importance to it, immediately hold a meeting to study the corresponding countermeasures, and make rectifications in a timely manner. Recently, when a fresh food platform presented a pennant to the procuratorate, it submitted a reply letter in person, saying that it would study targeted rectification measures according to the content of the procuratorial suggestions, further strengthen daily management, and standardize the work system.
