Recently, GDU was invited to participate in the 2nd China International General Aviation and UAV Development Conference 2024 held in Beijing. With outstanding contributions and influence in the industry, Huang Li, chairman of the company, together with experts and scholars from the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the Civil Aviation Administration of China, the Civil Aviation University of China, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics and other units, was hired as an expert of the "General Aviation Low-altitude Economic Think Tank" of the China Communications and Transportation Association.
The conference was hosted by the China Communications and Transportation Association and undertaken by the General Aviation and UAV Development Promotion Branch, with the theme of "Collaborative Innovation and Building a Low-altitude Economic Ecosystem". Nearly 1,000 representatives of relevant enterprises, institutions and well-known experts from the global general aviation and UAV industry exchanged and discussed hot topics such as new opportunities and challenges for the development of low-altitude industries such as general aviation and UAVs in mainland China, new ideas and new paths for high-quality and sustainable development.

In order to promote the high-quality development of the mainland's low-altitude economy, the General Aviation and UAV Development Promotion Branch of the China Communications and Transportation Association decided to set up a general aviation low-altitude economic think tank, aiming to gather high-end intellectual resources, play the role of a bridge, cultivate low-altitude industry talents, guide and strengthen the scientific and technological innovation of the low-altitude industry, promote the sustainable development of the industry, and provide intellectual support for the development of the industry of government departments and local governments.
At present, China's general aviation and UAV industry is developing rapidly. As one of the most potential markets in the world, the scale of China's general aviation and UAV industry is expanding year by year, showing a development trend of diversified application scenarios, blowout of UAV industry, technological innovation and acceleration of digital and intelligent transformation. At the same time, the development model of multi-industry cross-integration is expected to open a trillion-level emerging market for China's general aviation and UAV industry.
The low-altitude economy is a typical representative of the new quality of productivity. In the future, GDU will use drones as the carrier to continuously promote the deep integration of industry, university and research, actively explore the innovative application of smart low-altitude, promote industrial innovation with scientific and technological innovation, and empower the development of new quality productivity.
