The new range of funicular transport solutions (gondolas and chairlifts) aims to provide mountain developers and transport companies in the urban and tourism sectors with reliable, high-performance and sustainable fully Made in France mobility solutions.

With this innovative range of detachable monogondola lifts and chairlifts, the French MND group is consolidating its position as a global player and aiming to gain new market share in a fast-growing industry. The OIZON™ series of devices meets the most demanding configuration requirements: high altitude differences, long distances, large vehicles, high traffic rates. A wide range of configurations are available: from 6-seater chairlifts with optional draft shields, to 10-, 16- and 20-seat gondola lifts, with a capacity of up to 8,000 people per hour in each direction and speeds of up to 7 meters per second.
MND has invested €20 million in the development and industrialization of the ORIZON™ range of products and €10 million in the construction of a new 2-hectare building in Sainte-Hélène-du-Lac, Savoie, France, dedicated to the production and assembly of these new solutions. In addition, the first equipment will be built on site for practical operation and testing by customers. It is expected that around a hundred new employees will join the MND Group in the next 24 months to support the development of the new series.
With the successful registration of more than 10 new patent families, MND once again demonstrates its long-term commitment to providing advanced technological solutions for eco-mobility devices.
Over the past few years, MND has assembled a dedicated industrial team of more than 60 people dedicated to the design and production of a new generation of ropeway series featuring high-performance detachable and reliable single cable technology based on market-proven components, high-capacity gondolas with an easy-to-access and innovative design, a low carbon footprint and high flow rate, improved wear resistance to optimize maintenance costs, and a patented direct drive motor that connects directly to the pulley.
In particular, we focus on optimizing the energy consumption of our facilities, including recovering energy generated by gravity delivery systems, equipping eco-autonomous driving systems that adapt to flow in real time, recovering heat to heat buildings, and integrating renewable solar energy production solutions.
To design ORIZZON's™ new ecosystem, MND partnered with Stellantis Design Studio. The design studio is the design and creative agency of the Stellantis Group, providing responsible, creative and memorable brand experiences on a global scale. Through this partnership, we have done a lot of research in design, conception, ergonomics, accessibility, material selection and lighting to create a smooth and comfortable next-generation mobility experience for users. This new ecosystem aims to seamlessly integrate into nature, tourism, and urban spaces, improve the mobility experience, promote efficient and sustainable mobility solutions, and strengthen the connection between users and the environment.
Since each project is unique, we have designed a large number of optional configurations to meet the technical and aesthetic requirements of our customers: interior/exterior colors and decorations, material selection, interior/exterior lighting, eco-driving systems, autonomous operation, integrated recycling, in-vehicle information systems, video surveillance, etc.
MND has chosen to debut at its booth on April 16, 2024, when it opens at Mountain Planet, its new range of detachable ™ gondolas and chairlifts designed for use in tourism and urban spaces. Over the course of 3 days, the exhibition will welcome 23,000 trade visitors from 71 countries.
