@D Hong Kong citizens, when will ร get the third shot? d Who should get the fourth shot? รฐยŸย‘ย‰

dยฆ The fifth wave of the epidemic in Hong Kong has eased, and the third phase of the "Vaccine Pass" will begin next Tuesday (31 May), when people aged 12 or above who have completed 6 months of receiving the second dose of the vaccine will need to receive three injections before entering restaurants and specified premises.

The Government reminded tamartai through the social platform tamatis that from 31 May, the 3rd dose of the vaccine must be given after the 2nd dose for 6 months before the "Vaccine Pass" can continue to be valid. The 3rd injection should be given within the 6-month grace period, otherwise the Vaccine Pass will be invalidated. According to the government, adults can generally get a third shot 3 months after the second shot.

For example, the Government pointed out that if the public gets a second injection in February this year, the third injection can be given as soon as May. For the Vaccine Pass, members of the public must receive a third dose in August at the latest to meet the requirements. In addition, there is no additional vaccination requirement for people who have not recovered for 6 months or who have received 2 or 3 doses of THE NEW Crown vaccine before infection.

On 19 May, the Joint Scientific Committee and the Expert Advisory Panel (DRC) issued a provisional consensus recommendation that uninfected persons aged 18 to 59 years who are at higher risk of exposure or have a personal need may receive a fourth dose of covid-19 vaccine for additional protection. These include people at higher risk of exposure, such as staff of medical institutions, nursing homes for the elderly or the disabled, or employees with a higher risk of exposure/transmission in their working environments (e.g. participating in anti-epidemic work, providing cross-border transportation or working at checkpoints and ports); as well as personal needs, such as overseas study or tourism.

โœ… The Government reminds that the third and fourth doses of vaccines must be at least 6 months apart and the same practice also applies to the recovered persons of the same age group #Hong Kong Vaccine Pass #
