In the past two years, the MPV market has slowly become lively, not only traditional brands have successively launched MPV models, but even new forces have to play a copy. Landu unveiled the Dreamer at last year's Guangzhou Auto Show and recently announced a pre-sale price of 380,000-600,000 yuan. The second product is a medium-sized high-end luxury MPV, which is actually a very bold and risky strategy for a brand that has not been established for a long time, but after all, Lantu's positioning is a high-end new energy brand, and what car must go to the high-end.
Denza is back in the arms of BYD, and has recently made a move. Speaking of Denza, there should be many people who know, it is a high-end new energy brand jointly established by Mercedes-Benz and BYD, the jianghu people call it "rich second generation", many places do not have a separate Denza 4S store, and the cars are sold in the Mercedes-Benz store. Founded in 2010, Denza is a new force at the age of elders, but Denza has only launched two cars in more than a decade, and sales have been dismal. When everyone thought that Denza had been half-cut into the ground (in fact, at the end of last year, BYD and Daimler jointly increased their capital to Denza by 2 billion yuan and made equity adjustments), it suddenly announced that there was a big move: it was also going to launch a mid-to-high-end MPV: Denza D9! This actually made Denza suddenly catch fire.
All are new forces, but also luxury MPV, Lantu's dreamer and Denza D9 should be regarded as the most direct competitors. Well, let's first compare the clouds of the two cars to see whose keyboard value is more explosive.
Appearance: Dreamer mediocre, Denza like Alpha?
Denza has just released the official pictures of two new cars, putting the Dreamer and Denza D9 together, both of which are set in favor of high-end executive-level MPV, so there are boxy and wide body lines and stable image designs like traditional MPV.
The dreamer's front is more flat, the front face and the Landu FREE have a high degree of inheritance, and the large-area straight waterfall chrome net is the main design element, but I feel that the dreamer's design is still relatively moderate, there is no new force that should be radical, and it conveys a restrained and solemn temperament.
The silhouette of the Denza D9 is very much like alpha, especially the tall and plump front. The design of the front face is much more complicated than that of the Dreamer, in fact, the entire inverted trapezoidal lock armor net, the "C" shaped chrome trim strips on both sides and the triangular fog light area have traces to follow - or alpha's shadow.
The appearance is currently the only place that can be directly compared, it must be higher than a face value, or Denza D9 is more suitable for the author's aesthetics, and the effect is more beautiful.
Interior: Dreamer is very tech, Denza gives you sports seats?
The dreamer's interior is more shocking than the appearance, although the iconic liftable central control of Lantu FREE has been cancelled, but the three large screens still ensure a strong sense of technology, and the material of the interior is still very bloody, and the workmanship is also good.

Denza has not yet announced the interior of the new car, and we can only get a glimpse of it in the pictures flowing out of the Internet for the time being. While much of the interior is still under camouflage, the overall layout and materials are not known, but the key design elements have been exposed: the very BYD's 15.6-inch central control screen – but it is rumored that the rotation function will be canceled on the Denza D9. Interestingly, as an MPV, depressing D9, there was a set of sports seats in the car, or white, green and black color, plus the steering wheel that was also very BYD, which seemed to be contrary to the high-end style of the new car... Space: The car is more than 5 meters long and has seven and four seats
Space is undoubtedly the core product force of the MPV model, both cars are more than 5 meters long medium and large MPV, theoretically will have a good space performance, and since taking the business route, the second row of VIP seats is the top priority.
Dreamer, which began to pre-sell, already has specific model information, with a body length of 5315mm, a wheelbase of 3200mm, and a size that surpasses the gl8, a commercial MPV benchmark. The standard version provides a "2+2+3" seven-seat layout, the second row is of course a wide range of independent seats, if you even some space to the back, the third row will be more humane; there is also a more distinguished four-seat customized version.
Although the Denza D9 has not yet announced specific spatial information, the official has confirmed that the length of the new car will exceed 5.2 meters, the model will exceed 1.9 meters, and the wheelbase will exceed 3 meters, will it be slightly smaller than the Dreamer? It may also be that the official said conservative. The Denza D9 also offers a seven-seat layout with the "2+2+3" standard, and the third row can achieve flat storage, allowing more tail compartment space when needed. However, the new car will not have a six-seat version, but it will also add a four-seat ultra-luxury version to further enhance the high-end image.
Power: all are hybrid + pure electricity, Denza endurance of more than 1000 kilometers
The dreamer follows the power scheme of Lantu FREE, that is, the extended range version + pure electric version of the two power, both equipped with front and rear dual motors, but the performance of the pure electric version is slightly stronger than the extended range version, the total output of the motor is 320kW/620Nm and 290kW/610Nm, and the acceleration of 100 kilometers is 5.9 seconds and 6.9 seconds, respectively, but the official has not yet announced the mileage of the two power.
The power of Denza D9 is still to be announced, but it will not be a secret that cannot be guessed, of course, IT ISD is best at DM and EV! At the same time, Denza also promised that the comprehensive cruising range of models equipped with DM supermix technology will exceed 1,000 kilometers, which is an exaggerated endurance, but everyone should be full of confidence in BYD's new energy technology now.
Price: Are they all related to ordinary people?
The pre-price of Lantu Dreamer is 380,000-600,000, the span is relatively large, the purpose is to cover the needs of multiple levels of users as much as possible, such as the basic business reception to choose the entry version of 380,000, the family users with higher requirements to choose 480,000 in the middle, and the high-end business reception to choose 600,000 four-seat customized version.
The Denza D9 is still some time away from the official listing, but the CEO of Denza has made it clear that the positioning of the new car is a high-end MPV, and the starting price will be around 450,000 yuan. The relatively high starting price may keep the Denza D9 away from home consumers, and the company's corporate reception car is its real goal.
At present, the domestic MPV market is not very large, and there is no sign of a large-scale outbreak for the time being. The choice of about 300,000 yuan of household MPV has been basically solidified, nothing more than Odyssey, Alexand, Trumpchi M8 and Xena, and the business MPV at the same price is of course GL8. Less is the high-end MPV, the previous crazy price increase Alpha family is dominant, and then Buick also launched gl8 Evia to test the water of the more high-end market, and now the new forces are also looking at here, as to whether there can be a good performance after the listing, we wait and see.
