At the event site, Yang Dayong, vice president of Changan Automobile, introduced that Changan Deep Blue hopes to realize four major brand values: innovative reconstruction, interconnection of all things, experience free, low-carbon life. In order to realize the above brand value, Changan Deep Blue will launch the world's first all-electric digital platform, super-collector electric drive system and the first mass-produced hydrogen fuel cell car in China.

Changan Deep Blue's first mass-produced hydrogen fuel cell sedan will be available on the C385 within the year. As the first model of Changan Deep Blue, some of the core parameter information of C385 was also announced at this event.

The C385 is positioned as a pure electric coupe model with a length, width and height of 4820mm, 1890mm and 1480mm, with a wheelbase of 2900mm and a drag coefficient of 0.23Cd. The new car series adopts rear wheel traction, and the rear suspension adopts the H-arm type multi-link independent suspension system, and will launch three power versions of pure electric, extended-range hybrid and hydrogen fuel cell power.

In addition, the C385 is equipped with 19-inch wheels, a 14.6-inch sunflower screen with intelligent steering, and an electric hatchway.

Under CLTC conditions, the comprehensive mileage of the pure electric version of the C385 is more than 700km, the maximum power is more than 190kW, and the power consumption of the comprehensive working condition can be as low as 12.3kWh/100km; the comprehensive mileage of the extended range model is more than 1200km, the pure electric endurance is more than 200km, and the fuel consumption of the feeder is at least 4.5L/100km; the comprehensive mileage of the hydrogen fuel model can also reach more than 700km, and the minimum hydrogen consumption of the feeder is 0.65 kg/ Less than 100km, and can be completed in 3 minutes.

According to Deng Chenghao, CEO of Changan New Energy, the EPA1 platform has a three-electric system with deep integration, safer and more efficient characteristics, which can solve the pain points of electric vehicle use in terms of endurance, energy replenishment and safety, and meet the needs of users for efficient environmental protection, digital experience and performance.

Deng Chenghao said that EPA1 has the characteristics of "1 full + 4 high", "1 full" is the all-electric digital platform, and "4 high" refers to high efficiency, high performance, high intelligence and high security.

It is the first to propose the concept of electric efficiency of the power system

From the perspective of high efficiency, Changan Automobile took the lead in the industry to put forward the concept of electric efficiency of the power system, that is, the ratio of the net output of the electric drive system to the power consumption of the power grid. According to a survey by Changan Automobile, the average industry value of this data is 70% to 75%, and the EPA platform can increase it to 78%.

In addition, the new generation of super-collector drives used on the EPA1 platform holds 163 patents and has an electric drive efficiency of up to 95%. In order to improve efficiency, Changan Automobile has optimized various technologies for the electric drive system, including eight-layer flat wire winding technology, rotor double V topology configuration, ultra-low resistance wire, adaptive control algorithm, and low resistance topology optimization.

The EPA1 platform also launches the world's first micro-core high-frequency pulse heating technology, with more than 50 patents such as random frequency conversion IGBT opening and closing control, cell safety level command control, high-frequency pulse and NVH balance algorithm, and power system durability design. This technology can help the battery in the -30 °C environment to achieve a battery temperature rise of 4 °C/min, improve the power by 50%, and reduce the charging time by 15%.

In addition, the autonomous sedan range extension system launched by the EPA1 platform can achieve a level of 1L oil driving range equal to about 3.3kWh of electricity.

The two powertrains of extended range and hydrogen fuel cells are added

The EPA1 model will adopt rear-wheel drive as the mainstay, support the power layout of dual-motor four-wheel drive expansion, and support the development of two powertrain models, range extender and hydrogen fuel cell.

The EPA1 platform chassis adopts an H-arm multi-link independent suspension system and is equipped with the latest generation of brake dual redundancy system. The relevant technical supports the adjustment of braking style to improve the energy recovery effect, and can effectively shorten the braking distance, and the rear suspension follow-up, high-speed stability, and riding comfort will also be improved.

The EPA1 platform features a 50:50 front and rear axle-to-load ratio and a wide body, low center of gravity chassis design, which is conducive to improving the vehicle's brake pitch control, body roll control, steering response and followability. In addition, the platform model will take into account both power response and NVH in the driving performance adjustment.

Changan Smart Core supports global speed OTA upgrades

The EPA1 platform supports global speed OTA upgrades, that is, it supports OTAs for all nodes of the vehicle, which can complete OTAs in less than three minutes, and adopts A/B partition design of cockpit domain and driving domain, and is equipped with cloud pipe end security protection system.

The EPA platform also adopts the first intelligent vehicle domain controller in China - Changan Smart Core. This domain controller is a completely independent intellectual property right of Changan Automobile, with more than 80 patents, multi-core and multi-system control, integration of more than 1500 devices, and 100% remote diagnostic coverage. According to Changan Automobile, compared with the industry average, this domain controller can improve performance by 70% and reduce volume by 70%.

The smart cockpit domain controller of the EPA platform uses Qualcomm 8155 chips with 105k DMIPs hash rate and can work together with multiple processors. The platform's intelligent driving domain controller can support L4 intelligent driving needs up to the highest, adopts a multi-core design, can be equipped with up to 27 sensing components, and can realize power supply redundancy, brake redundancy, steering redundancy, and system redundancy.

Five horizontal and nine vertical surround body all-round protection battery safety

In terms of personal safety, the EPA1 platform is based on the 2021 version of the C-NCAP five-star safety standard, using a five-horizontal and nine-vertical surround body, high-strength steel accounting for 45%, and using a full range of battery safety protection.

In terms of data security, the EPA1 platform adopts 5+1 information security level privacy protection, involving IT defense technology, identity authentication, channel physical isolation, hardware security module (HSM), and SecOC secure communication.

In terms of battery safety, the EPA1 platform launched the iBC Digital Battery Butler. In terms of pre-control management, the platform can realize wire + digital process control, vehicle + cloud BMS dual-flush monitoring. In terms of digital temperature control management, the platform adopts aerospace-grade full battery heat insulation technology, alcohol-cooled and efficient heat dissipation, transient pressure relief technology, overpressure sealing control, global anti-short circuit technology, directional pressure exhaust, full-time temperature alarm and other technologies.
