It is reported that Wen Zhengming can not speak and walk at the age of two, still stands unsteadily at the age of six, and is still inarticulate at the age of nine, and when he grows up, he participates in the township examination nine times in his life, all of which have fallen behind. In the eyes of others, he was seen as a naturally stupid and difficult to become a talent, but in his eyes, these setbacks have become a whetstone on the road to success.
He proved to everyone with his persistence and stubbornness that he was a genius and that there was nothing wrong with his persistence. Wen Zhengming has devoted himself to poetry and painting for more than 30 years, creating a leading calligraphy and painting of an era. Throughout his life, he wrote Xiao Kai to the realm of reaching the pinnacle of perfection, and was known as "the first of the Ming Dynasty". His paintings were studied by Shen Zhou, the founder of the Wumen School, and after Shen Zhou's death, he supported the entire school for decades. The artistic talents he cultivated affected the Ming and Qing dynasties. "Atrium Moon Diagram" is a rather rare courtyard moonlight theme in Chinese paintings, and it is a relatively rare theme based on the interview of the literati husband on the night of the moon. In 1548, the 79-year-old Wen Zhengming painted Xu Jin's "Chibi Map After Imitating Zhao Bohua". Speaking of lamentations, Xu Jin collected Zhao Bohua's "Later Chibi Tu", and the officials asked for it to be dedicated to Yan Song's son Yan Shifan, Xu Jin was reluctant to give it, and Wen Zhengming advised him not to cause trouble, so he drew this volume of green imitations for him.
Although it is copied from Zhao Bohua's "Later Chibi Tu", the treatment of hue in the painting, the paving of green and green, thick but not greasy, is already the painting method of the literati after the Yuan Dynasty. When he was 90 years old, Wen Zhengming wrote an epitaph for Yushi Yanjiemu, and at the moment when the epitaph was completed, he sat down with his pen and died. "There are three thousand meters of dust in the city, and it looks like two elk traces." Across the pool Bishan for a smile, away from the self-receiving evening cool breeze. This is his inscription in "Sitting in the Pine Shade". It is also just like his life, idle, calm, and indisputable with the world.
