His calligrapher, Tang Kai FaDu, traces back to the wei and Jin dynasty style, with the practice of entering the kai, the penmanship is rigorous, the ink method is exquisite, and it is a family of its own, known as "Zhao Ti".
Among them, calligraphy has the highest achievements in Xiao Kai, together with Yan Zhenqing, Liu Gongquan, and Ouyang Qian, and called The "Four Greats" of Kaishu, and his calligraphy ideas and "Zhao Ti" style have greatly influenced the centuries after his death.
"The Biography of Han Ji" is a xiaokai written by Zhao Mengfu at the age of 66, known as the "crown of xiaokai", with a silk bar on paper, 176 × 174cm, now in the Yongqing Bunko in Tokyo, Japan.
