In contrast, the cumulative sales of domestic cars in January 2022 were 1.005 million units, significantly ahead of the sales volume of the SUV market in the same period, while in March, the sales volume of the domestic SUV market reached 742,000 units, close to the sales of cars in the same period.
It can be seen from the data that with the rise in oil prices and the increase in the recognition of new energy vehicles, hybrid and electric models have gradually occupied the front row of the sales list, of which Wuling Hongguang MINI EV, Tesla Model 3 and BYD Qin PLUS are more prominent masterpieces. In other aspects, the top 15 list of cars is still dominated by joint venture brand cars, and the sales gap is small, and the number of independent brand models on the list has gradually increased.
In terms of specific models, the Wuling Hongguang MINI EV, which has the advantage of being close to the people, is still a unique existence, and successfully ascended to the championship with a result of 41,980 vehicles in March, which also made Nissan Xuanyi, which was the crown in January and February, lose the "triple crown". It is worth noting that the sales data of Wuling Hongguang MINI EV fluctuates relatively largely, with its sales of 37,000 units in January this year and 22,000 units in February, and some analysts say that its sales growth in March may be related to two factors, including: the number of users before the official price increase and the number of GM versions of the predetermined volume.
Nissan Xuanyi's sales fell relatively largely in March, only achieving sales results in its early 30,000s, but compared with other traditional fuel models, it still has a large leading gap. Thanks to an excellent result of more than 55,000 units in January, Xuanyi also became the first and only single car series to sell more than 100,000 units (108741 units) in the first quarter of 2022, followed by the Hongguang MINI EV (94,778 units) and the Volkswagen Langyi (93,326 units).
Tesla Model 3 is still the "Apple" in the new energy automobile circle, despite the continuous discussion, it still won the third place with monthly sales of 26,000 vehicles and a year-on-year increase of 2.8%.
There are also two good news: in the 2022 Mid-Security Research Institute collision results released a few days ago, Tesla Model 3 has excellent safety; Second, Tesla's Berlin Gigafactory was officially completed and put into operation in late March, so that the models produced by the Shanghai factory can be sold more domestically, and the future sales results are more promising.
BYD Qin PLUS continues to be the "seed player" of domestic cars, ranking fourth in March with a score of 24,791 units, although its year-on-year growth reached more than 4 times, but this is only because its sales in the same period last year were too low, only 4601. It is worth affirming that Qin PLUS's sales volume in the past 3 months this year are relatively average and stable, and it is expected to rank among the top five in the long run with the increase in production capacity.
In terms of other independent brands, Changan Yidong's sales in February were only 10,186 vehicles, ranking 21st, while in March it ranked seventh with 20,353 vehicles, and the progress was more obvious. And Geely Emgrand, which has been optimistic, ranked 19th in February with sales of 10,440 vehicles, and ranked ninth with sales of 16,336 vehicles in March, although sales have also increased significantly, but the momentum is not as strong as Chang'an Yidong, and geely needs to make timely adjustments here.
In terms of joint venture brands, GAC Toyota can be said to have made significant progress in March, the manufacturer's retail sales reached 88,048 units ranked fourth, and many of its models have handed over relatively surprising results, especially as a B-class car Camry, the increase in March was close to 10,000 units, reaching 22,518 units, which was hotter than Langyi, Leiling, Corolla and other models, and also surpassed the B-class car "hot player" Accord, raising an eyebrow.
As a representative of the compact family car of the joint venture, the overall sales data of Langyi, Leiling, Corolla and other models is also good, and it can be maintained at a level of more than 15,000 vehicles. It is a pity that the Volkswagen brand model not only has a much lower rate on the list, but even the sales data has also declined significantly, and Bora only ranks fifteenth with 12681 vehicles. Problems such as insufficient chips and rising material prices have a more obvious impact on volkswagen brands.
In terms of luxury brands, Mercedes-Benz E-Class sales were relatively stable in March, ranking 14th with a performance of nearly 13,000 units, and it is also the only luxury brand model on the list. In contrast, in February this year, the sales of Mercedes-Benz E-class were only 9346 units, the Audi A6L was 9779 units, the BMW 5 Series was 10627 units, and the BMW 3 Series was 12271 units.
