Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced the latest batch of purchase tax-free model catalog, of which BYD's new pure electric model SEAL is prominently listed.
Judging from the published content, the SEAL is divided into three versions, providing two battery packs with different capacities, one is 61.44 kWh and the other is 82.56 kWh.
It is easy to deduce that the three models are the standard endurance rear-drive version (550 km), the long-whisker rear-drive version (700 km) and the four-wheel drive performance version (650 km).

Compared with the Tesla Model 3 rear-drive version, it can be found that the parameters of the SEAL standard endurance rear-drive version are very close to it.
Model 3 rear-drive version uses a 60-degree lithium iron phosphate battery, CLTC has a range of 556 kilometers, and a curb weight of 1765 kg; the seal standard endurance rear-drive version has a battery capacity of 61.44 degrees, which is also a lithium iron phosphate battery, but the curb weight reaches 1885 kg, which is 120 kg heavier than Model 3, so it is simple to calculate that seals have better power consumption than Model 3.
As for the four-wheel drive performance version of the SEAL, it should be compared with the Model 3 Performance high-performance all-wheel drive plate, the former has an endurance of 650 kilometers and a curb weight of 2105 kg; the latter has an endurance of 675 km, the curb weight is temporarily unknown, it is expected to exceed 200 kg, and the data of both sides are also very close.
So the question is, if the price of seals really falls between 220,000 and 280,000 yuan, then against the Tesla Model 3, what do you think its odds are?
