In the Chinese market, BMW sold a total of 208507 new cars (including MINI) in the first quarter, down 9.2% year-on-year. It is worth mentioning that BMW's pure electric vehicle sales in the Chinese market performed well in the first quarter, thanks to the innovative BMW iX, i4 and new iX3, achieving a year-on-year increase of 207.9%.

The BMW brand sold 519796 new cars worldwide in the first quarter of this year. Despite the challenges, the BMW Group's sales of pure electric vehicles in the first quarter more than doubled from the same period last year, with a total of 35,289 pure electric vehicles (BMW and MINI) delivered worldwide, an increase of 149.2% year-on-year.

In addition, the BMW Group has set a higher target for the all-electric lineup: this year, including pre-production models, BMW will launch 15 pure electric vehicles, which currently cover about 90% of the market segment.
