The X5 xDrive45e model with plug-in hybrid system will be replaced by the xDrive50e. The new car added nearly 100 horsepower, increasing it from 394 horsepower to 480 horsepower. It's unclear whether BMW will install a larger battery on the new car, but it could offer faster charging efficiency.
The B58 engine of the xDrive40i (3.0T inline 6-cylinder engine) will also add 30 horsepower. In addition, all models will be equipped with a 48V light hybrid system except for the plug-in hybrid model.
