Based on this phenomenon, there will be a problem, many owners who buy plug-in models for green cards are actually not good charging conditions themselves, so there is a phenomenon that buying plug-in models is used as fuel vehicles. But after all, it is their own car, or they will worry about whether the long-term non-charging will affect the vehicle itself.
So first answer this question: will the plug-in hybrid model not charge cause damage to the vehicle? The answer is no, but, it is not recommended not to charge, at least a fixed frequency should be guaranteed.
First of all, why there is no impact: because the protection mechanism of the plug-in hybrid system itself, whether it is a long-term non-charging or long-term non-refueling, it will not affect the vehicle. But the overall experience will definitely be different from the full oil and full electricity.
So does not charge does not mean that the battery will be completely used up, obviously not either. Because car companies generally force power preservation when the battery power is too low, the general threshold may be 15%, 30%, etc., mainly according to the manufacturer's settings. 2. Increased fuel consumption. If only the engine is used to drive the vehicle forward, the engine needs to drive a heavier body than the same level of fuel vehicles and charge the battery at the same time, obviously the fuel consumption will increase significantly, even more than the fuel model.
For example, the BMW 530Le's battery pack weighs 117.2 kilograms, and with the addition of motor equipment, the entire electric system makes the 530Le weigh about 300 kilograms more than the ordinary version of the 530Li. According to statistics, for every additional 100 kilograms of vehicle weight, the fuel consumption of the car will rise by about 0.3 to 0.5 liters per 100 kilometers. The complete system increases fuel consumption from 1 to 1.5 liters.
3, insufficient power. When the battery power is insufficient, the engine needs to allocate a part of the energy to charge the battery, so the power of the vehicle will be significantly reduced at this time, and the output of the engine will be forcibly amplified, so the fuel consumption and NVH performance will also be reduced by several levels.
4, do not charge will make the battery continue to enter the state of power loss, and then it will return to the previous problem, and then continue to cycle, although it does not affect the vehicle, but it is not friendly to the driving experience and fuel consumption.

The reason why the state recognizes that the plug-in hybrid model is a new energy model to give it a green card, in order to better promote the development of electrification, is to solve the current problem of charging difficulties, so that the popularity of charging piles to a higher level, if only for the green card to buy plug-in hybrid models and give up charging, it is back to the origin of the problem. This may also be a major problem in the current development of new energy vehicles.
Although this vicious circle is obviously not something that we consumers can consider and solve, so more is at the national and corporate level, as a participant in modern society, we should indeed make some contributions to environmental protection, and try to charge as much as possible in the case of charging conditions, and the charging conditions are not good and try to ensure a fixed charging cycle.
