【CNMO News】On March 25, Canalys Consulting released the 2021 India PC Market Report. The report shows that India's PC market grew by 45% in 2021, with shipments of desktops, laptops and tablets reaching 18.6 million units. Since much of India was locked out in both the first and second quarters, while largely dampening commercial activity, it also drove demand for personal computers.

Dell

It is reported that laptop shipments were 11.8 million units, an increase of 49% year-on-year, accounting for 63% of total shipments; tablet computer shipments reached 4.4 million units, an increase of 48% year-on-year, and a global decline of 3%. From the list, HP shipped 46,770 units, leading the Indian PC market with a market share of 25.1%; Lenovo shipped 42,870 units, ranking second with a market share of 23%; Dell's market share of 14%, ranking third; Samsung and Acer ranked fourth and fifth, with market shares of 7.2% and 6.8%, respectively.

In addition, PC shipments in the fourth quarter of 2021 reached 5.3 million units, up 46% from the fourth quarter of 2020; laptops increased by 40% to 3.3 million units, while desktop shipments increased 70% year-over-year, surpassing 700,000 units for the first time in eight quarters; and tablet shipments increased 49% from the same period last year to 1.3 million units. Canalys research analyst Jash Shah said demand from SMEs and corporate customers will be stronger as the number of COVID-19 cases declines, vaccination rates soar and businesses and schools return to normal.
