The current state of the global PC market: Lenovo continues to be the first Apple is growing rapidly

The latest statistics from market research firm Gartner show that global PC shipments were not stable in the first quarter of this year, and shipments from some manufacturers declined.

According to statistics, Apple Mac's share of the global PC market in the first quarter was 9% (shipments were about 7 million units, compared with 6.5 million units in the same period a year ago, an increase of 8.6% year-on-year), ranking fourth, and the share in the same period last year was 7.7%, an increase compared with other manufacturers.

Lenovo remains the world's largest PC manufacturer, shipping 18.3 million units in the first quarter, down 12.6% year-on-year. HP ranked second, shipping 15.9 million units, down 17.8% year-on-year. Dell came in third, shipping 13.7 million units, up 5% year-on-year. Acer and Asus are fifth and sixth respectively.

In the first quarter of 2022, global PC shipments totaled 77.5 million units, compared to 83.6 million units in the first quarter of 2021.

Apple's share in the U.S. reached 14.5 percent, compared with 10.2 percent a year ago. Dell, HP and Lenovo are the top three in the U.S. PC market, shipping 5.1 million units, 4.3 million units and 3.3 million units, respectively.
