1. BYD beats Toyota?
For more than a year, BYD has been running wild in the hybrid field, beating Toyota to become the new hegemon. In 2021, the cumulative sales of hybrid models will be 545,000 units, while the BYD DM-i series will sell 272,000 units, accounting for half of the country. Entering the Year of the Tiger, BYD has a monopoly of two-thirds of the hybrid market share. Toyota, on the other hand, fell off a cliff in January this year, with sales of only over 10,000 yuan, disappearing from the list of the top 15 car sales in the association. Recently, BYD's new model design manuscript was exposed, and bydir seals, which have been attracting much attention, have finally unveiled the mystery. It is reported that the seal is a pure electric intermediate coupe, whether from the appearance, or configuration, and price point of view, the seal will be BYD's benchmark Model 3 blockbuster model.
Judging from the manuscript, the design of the seal highly restores the design of the Concept Car Ocean-X unveiled at the BYD e platform 3.0 conference last September. Unlike the Dynasty series dragon face design language, seals use BYD's marine aesthetic design concept, highlighting the youthful fashion and sporty look. And from the front of the car to the rear, the overall body belongs to the wide body shape, more low lying, the sports car of the sense of sporty, and Tesla's Model 3, obviously belongs to the same style.
3. Is BYD another blockbuster model born?
The appearance of the seal is indeed eye-catching. Under the empowerment of new technologies such as e-platform 3.0 and blade batteries, the endurance of SEALs will be greatly improved on the basis of BYDHan and other models, and it is expected that the maximum cruising range can reach 700km and break 100 in 3.4 seconds. In addition, it will also be equipped with a more advanced electric drive boost charging technology to solve the problem that high-voltage platforms cannot be charged and increase charging power.
It is reported that considering the continuous rise in the price of materials in the upstream industry chain of new energy, the decline of superimposed new energy subsidies, and product strength, the price range of new SEAL cars is 220,000-280,000, which is also the traditional sphere of influence of Tesla Model 3. At next month's Beijing Auto Show, seals will be officially unveiled, and it is not far from the listing.
