According to Mr. Lu, last year he saw the promotion of this Changan UNI-K SUV from new media channels, according to the video introduction at the time, Mr. Lu was attracted by the car's APA6.0 automatic parking, L3 level automatic driving, face recognition ignition start, light show and other configurations, so on August 26, 2021, he ordered the two-wheel drive top version of the model.
However, after getting the vehicle, Mr. Lu found that several of the latest technologies advertised by the manufacturer before were not equipped on their own vehicles, and the 4S shop explained that it might be configured later with the continuous update of the system.
Mr. Lu found through the exchange of car friends that the owner of the car picked up the car in the 4s store in Langfang did not even have a car purchase contract, only a car purchase invoice.
Mr. Lu said his request was simple: either Changan Automobile would make up for itself, or it would assess the value of the missing function and compensate for the corresponding economic losses. After many rounds of negotiations, the current reply from the 4S shop to him is that it can compensate up to three thousand yuan, which Mr. Lu is not satisfied with.
Mr. Lu also told the special search reporter that there have been many cases related to the Internet recently, and car owners have questioned changan automobile's false propaganda and are suspected of defrauding consumers. Mr. Lui said that since these latest technology configurations are used as publicity, why do consumers buy top-of-the-line models without these configurations? If a person may have ignored the official configuration list or the car purchase contract, involving many complaints, is it that every owner has read it wrong?
Subsequently, the special search reporter called the official customer service telephone number of Changan Automobile, and this time the staff did not emphasize the configuration table or the contract, but recorded the situation of the consumer, and said that it would communicate with the consumer, ask the situation and then reply to the reporter. As of press time, there has been no reply from Changan Automobile.
In response to Changan Automobile's practices, the special search reporter also interviewed relevant lawyers. Some lawyers believe that Changan Automobile's advertisements have evaded legal requirements and led to consumer misjudgment to a certain extent. Manufacturers should fully remind consumers that the mass-produced car is not equipped with the configuration in the advertisement, otherwise it will be the negligence liability of the contract, and the consumer can demand certain compensation from Changan Automobile, or complain to the municipal supervision department to request the penalty of false publicity of Changan.
