In the Tang Dynasty, when poetry was in its heyday, poetry was well written, which could both gain money and fans. There is no food, clothing, or personnel. So the young man's heart, the daily life is like that. ”
The "sixteen thousand dollars" mentioned in the poem is his monthly salary of sixteen thousand. In addition to the salary, he was also allocated a house, a fast horse, and a servant and groom. The poet's sense of superiority in "daily life" is born spontaneously.
Eight years later, Bai Juyi's official position was promoted to Zuo Shiyi, and his monthly salary rose from 16,000 to 25,000. Gratitude is not for oneself, Lu Yang and my relatives... Forty or fifty thousand, the month can be served in the morning and evening. Two hundred stones..." The promotion was so fast that I'm afraid even Lao Bai himself didn't think of it." So this time he not only posted his salary, but also took out his official position. Between the lines, there is a sense of gratitude to the imperial court. With a monthly salary of 40,000 or 500,000 yuan and 200 stones of rice grain, there is still a surplus stored every year when he has no worries about food and clothing and enough to support his family. With a full income of half or sixty thousand a year, how could he not be ecstatic?
Just three years after being happy, the god of fate gave him a blow in the head. Perhaps he did not even dream, just to say a few fair words for the slain current chancellor Wu Yuanheng, and wrote to the imperial court to strictly investigate the murderer, he offended the magnates, and Hu Cao joined the army and demoted him to Sima of Jiangzhou, and the five-year Beijing official ended.
Isn't it time for Bai Juyi, who was sent out of Kyoto to a remote place, to stop? After all, today is different from the past, how to say that it is also demoted and transferred. Who wouldn't be depressed for a while? But the optimistic Old Bai did not, and did not make a mistake in his salary: "Hundreds of stones in the age, 60,000 or 70,000 yuan per month." Officials are enough to shelter themselves, and food is enough to give home. "It can be seen that people don't care at all. While working dutifully, while raising flowers and grass, in addition to idly planting a piece of "East Slope" land, he also swam out of a "three-tour cave" with his old friend Yuan Shu and his brother Bai Xingjian. This point is a fight with his friend Liu Yuxi. Liu Yuxi was demoted and sentenced to state, and the local Cezhi County bullied him into being degraded, giving him small shoes to wear continuously, and was forced to move three times in half a year. In the end, he could only live in a small broken house. Liu Yuxi, far from bothering with it, also erected a stone stele outside the gate and asked someone to engrave the "Buried Room Inscription" he wrote, which has become a famous article throughout the ages and has been passed down to this day.

Returning to Kyoto from the locality and becoming a Beijing official again, he was in a good mood and couldn't help but dry in the circle of friends: "Youwen Sihaoguan, Qing Chong Sanpin column." Yi Yu was again dusty, and he was ashamed of his talents. Seventy or eighty thousand, give no false moon. The order is divided in the East Division, and there is no hajj. ”
Seeing no, the optimistic Lao Bai was promoted again, and was promoted from Sima of Jiangzhou in Wupin to the prince guest branch of Sanpin. Even if he received half a salary after retirement, he could not stop the footsteps of the old white salary: "Shou and seventy-five, feng stain fifty thousand." Husbands and wives live together, and nephews live together for many years. ”

After careful consideration, I found the mystery: what people are old and white, which is the salary, it is obviously the pattern of "not happy with things, not sad with themselves" and a positive and optimistic mentality.
