Wang Jiachun: Indeed, in my philosophical Chinese paintings, the one who shows the most mirrors is the "Little Red Man".
Someone once asked me, which country is he? Which dynasty? Wearing a red robe, it should be ancient, right?
I said, neither. He's just a cartoon-like concept of "man." He can be a modern man or an ancient man, he can be a Chinese or a foreigner, he can be someone else or himself. In short, he is just a pictorial symbol of a philosophically positive person who loves to learn, is not afraid of difficulties, and is auspicious in everything.
If it is a figurative person, it loses its philosophical significance.
We all know that Chinese talk about the face, the face has the five elements of "gold, wood, water, fire, and earth", and each specific person himself also has the five elements of gold, wood, water, fire, and earth. If you paint a figurative person, if his facial attribute is water, and the attribute of the person who hangs the painting is fire. Water and fire are compatible, and in the long run, it will naturally be unfavorable to the owner.
Therefore, in countries around the world, the figurative shape of each race is difficult for people of all nationalities to like, only cartoon characters, will be loved by white, yellow, black and other ethnic groups, the biggest reason, cartoon characters are not figurative people, but the concept of philosophical images, its aura and everyone will not conflict. So people see people love.
The "Little Red Man" is such a philosophical and conceptual artistic figure that can give people power. His aura travels through time and space.
