The pursuit of higher value! Volkswagen ID.Life cancel mass production and will push forward new entry-level electric vehicles in the future

Volkswagen unveiled a concept model called the ID.Life at last year's Munich Motor Show, when Volkswagen intended to build it into an ID.2 for mass production, and it cost less than 20,000 euros (about 140,000 yuan). However, some overseas media recently said that Volkswagen ID.Life mass production research and development plan will be cancelled, and the brand's chief designer will re-create an entry-level model.

The reason for the planned cancellation is that Volkswagen is not satisfied with the design of the concept car, and the ID.2 that will be launched in the future will be redesigned with a 5-door hatchback design, which will be similar in size to the Volkswagen Polo, while the interior space will be similar to the Volkswagen Golf. It is reported that this redesigned new car will be officially launched in 2025, and the price may increase after the listing. In addition, Volkswagen will also launch a pure electric SUV model called ID.2X based on the ID.2, which is expected to be launched in 2026.
