The application of the two-color body also allows ID.BUZZ to completely break the inherent image of the MPV model, highlighting the sense of youth, and is also a tribute to the Volkswagen T1.
The overall wheel gallery on the side of the body is very similar to the Volkswagen T1, thanks to the structural optimization brought by the electrified platform, the four wheels are distributed in the four corners of the body, which also allows for greater use space in the car. And on the rear of the car is also designed three horizontal decorations, a little retro taste. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the ID.BUZZ are 4712*1985*1937mm, and the wheelbase is 2988mm. At the same time, ID. Buzz will offer seven monochrome liveries and four two-color livery schemes.
The design of the rear is more concise than the front of the car, and instead of using complex lines to highlight the sense of hierarchy, a small number of lines are used to ensure the overall feeling of the rear. The design of the through-the-taillights allows for a better visual width at the rear. The Volkswagen logo in the middle and the "ID.BUZZ" logo below also make the rear of the car look monotonous.
The interior design is a strong Volkswagen ID. style, while you can choose the same interior color as the body, the overall interior design is very layered, the steering wheel and LCD instrument and 12-inch suspension central control screen are consistent with other models of the Volkswagen ID. family. At the same time, as an MPV model, the front side of the instrument panel, the multi-layer door panels and the central armrest provide a lot of storage space.
Only a 5-seat version was released in the early stage, and a 6-seat version will be launched later, and the interior of the car does not use a little leather material, but uses sustainable materials, and the seat interior, floor covering, seat cover and roof lining are all made of various recycled materials.
In terms of space, ID.BUZZ has 1121L of luggage compartment space, the second row of seats can support 4/6 ratio of reclining, after all reclining, although it is not kept flat, it can still expand the luggage compartment space to 2205L. At the same time, the closed van version ID.BUZZ Cargo completely eliminated the second row of seats, forming a flat box warehouse.
Powerly, the ID.BUZZ adopts a single-motor rear-wheel drive form, the maximum power of the motor is 150kW (204 horsepower), the peak torque is 310Nm, equipped with an 82kWh battery pack, the maximum charging power can reach 170kW, and it can be charged from 5% to 80% in 30 minutes. Pre-sales of the new car will begin in Europe in May this year, officially launch in the autumn, and then land in the North American market.
