The 22 RC 390s have made significant changes to the appearance, the most controversial of which is the front part. The engine is still the 373cc water-cooled single-cylinder engine we are familiar with, but KTM says that after optimizing the engine power curve and air intake, the data has improved slightly, with a maximum horsepower of 43.5 horsepower and a maximum torque of 37 Nm.
The new model has also been optimized on the frame, although the steel pipe braid frame design is still adopted, but the frame weight reduction is 1.5kg, and the subframe is independent and bolted. The new wheels also weigh 3.4kg less than the old ones, including pedals and handlebars.
The new model in terms of suspension is relatively large, the new front suspension using WP APEX 43mm inverted fully adjustable fork, support 30 segments of compression and rebound damping adjustment, rear suspension for WP APEX mid-mounted rear shock absorption, support preload and 5 stages of rebound damping adjustment.
The front brake is a Bybre four-piston radiant caliper with a 320mm single disc, the rear brake is a single-piston floating caliper with a 230mm single disc, and the new Bybre caliper also reduces the weight by nearly 1kg.
In terms of ergonomics and riding comfort, the new model has also been improved to a certain extent. The new split seat cushion is thicker and more textured, the outer wrapping of the cushion is made of non-slip fabric, and the split handlebar has an adjustment space of 10mm up and down.
Another major improvement to the new RC 390 is its electronic control system, which includes cornering ABS, traction control and Supermoto slider modes and the option of an electronic quick row, which is still very rare in its class.
The meter has also been upgraded to the same full-color TFT LCD meter as the Duke series, which can be equipped with the KTM My Ride car-machine interconnection function, and the mobile phone is connected to achieve screen projection navigation and music playback, which is greatly improved in terms of intelligence. At the same time, in order to match the more functional instruments, the handlebar button is also replaced with a handlebar with a selection button.
