KTM China recently announced that it will release a new 1290 Super Adventure model in the mainland market on April 15! And the new model S version is KTM's first motorcycle equipped with radar.
Since 2017, KTM has divided its 1290 Super Adventure into two versions, the R version is aimed at riding in off-road conditions, and the S version focuses on long-distance riding on paved roads. Inspired by the KTM 890 Adventure Series, the new R version features a fuel tank under the front cylinder head to focus on the new R model, inspired by the KTM 890 Adventure series.
The biggest highlight of the new S version model is that it is equipped with radar-assisted adaptive cruise control (ACC), supported by Bosch! The function automatically adjusts the speed based on the traffic situation in front of it, and the user can customize the following distance with five settings. The exclusive WP APEX semi-active suspension system for the S edition provides a more comfortable ride.
The new 7-inch TFT full-color meter offers a more user-friendly interface as well as KTM My Ride Bluetooth connectivity, and is also equipped with a Race On keyless start system. Start the motorcycle without using the key, open the directional lock and the fuel tank cover. Equipped with a six-axis tilt angle sensor and multi-stage adjustable traction control system, plus optional pull riding mode, hill hold control, power slip adjustment and faster.
At present, it is not clear what kind of specific specification configuration the version to be listed in China will be, but according to the past practice, the original version should be put into the domestic market unchanged.
