Toyota launched its first new crossover SUV Yaris Cross series based on the new generation Yaris Yaris in April 2020, the new car was first launched in the Japanese market in August 2020, using a 1.5-liter three-cylinder direct-injection naturally aspirated engine and a 1.5-liter gasoline-electric hybrid setting, and offered a choice of 7 models, which were introduced to the European market in September 2021, becoming a new generation of Toyota's entry-level crossover SUV.
Recently, according to Japanese media reports, the Japanese Toyota Yaris Cross car series is expected to be updated in 2022, and will be imported into the Adventure model launched by the European Yaris Cross car series, as well as the GR Sport model first seen on the Japanese standard car model.
Among them, the Adventure model that appeals to the off-road orientation is mainly different in appearance and interior settings, with the addition of a silver roof frame, a silver lower guard plate setting for the front and rear bumpers, and a silver trim plate for the front bumper suction grille, replaced by a dark gray 18-inch aluminum ring. The interior is replaced by black piano trim panels, a black canopy and gold trims, highlighting the difference from the regular model.
As for the GR Sport model part, although the original factory has not released relevant information, according to Japanese media reports, it is expected to have an exclusive exterior air power kit design, and in the front, side and rear parts, will have exclusive GR emblems. In addition, for the demand for sporty models, the suspension and bead setting parts will also be improved, thereby further improving the overall handling performance of the vehicle.
