On the afternoon of March 4th, Lotus Technology Shanghai Intelligent Driving Technology Center was inaugurated in Shanghai International Automobile City, which is an important step for Lotus's "track-level intelligent driving" concept to enter the substantive stage. Lotus is the first world-class sports car brand to fully transform to electrification and intelligence. Shanghai Intelligent Driving Technology Center is lotus's first intelligent driving and vehicle-road collaborative application test base built by Lotus in China, covering an area of 2,250 square meters and a test workshop area of 1,300 square meters.
Li Bo, vice president of Lotus Technology and general manager of Lotus Robotics Company, introduced that Lotus Technology Shanghai Intelligent Driving Technology Center plans to assemble super charging piles, fast charging piles, and complete vehicle maintenance equipment, which can ensure that 50 cars are tested at the same time, and is the first pilot demonstration area for Lotus intelligent driving project landing, new model road test and new function test. Li Bo revealed that the center will have dozens of AI intelligent driving software research and development, system integration, test engineers stationed, to develop the full-stack car intelligent driving system, to undertake the road test of Lotus's first pure electric SUV model TYPE 132.
"Lotus Technology Shanghai Intelligent Driving Technology Center was inaugurated in Jiading District, which is of great significance to Lotus. On the one hand, Jiading District has the leading intelligent networked vehicle test road open scope and good policy support in China, which provides a strong guarantee for Lotus to test the maturity and safety of 'track-level intelligent driving' technology. Li Bo said that on the other hand, Jiading District, as the first Chinese automobile industry base in the country in terms of comprehensive competitiveness index, has a complete automotive industry chain and high-tech automobile enterprises, and the development of Lotus automotive autonomous driving technology will benefit from it.
