Rooted in the front line of engine test research and development for 27 years, Yang Jun has trained the "special function" of hearing and hearing impairment, and its accuracy is not worse than machine detection. Recently, the Wuhan Municipal Government awarded him the honorary title of the second "Wuhan Craftsman".

In the engine test building of the wuhan Dongfeng company's technology center, Yang Jun is running in various laboratories. It is understood that in the process of Dongfeng Company's independent research and development of a new engine, after the various parts are assembled into an engine prototype, Yang Jun's team will put it on the bench and conduct durability tests, "Our job responsibility is to find faults in time during the test stage and find problems to 'avoid pits'." ”

Yang Jun introduced that the test should last for up to 500 hours, and the engine will run 24 hours a day, and the whole process will take about 32 days. Growing up in the "Automobile City", Yang Jun likes machinery and loves cars since childhood, and is full of yearning for the automobile industry and automobile technology. In 1994, after studying in the automobile experimental class of Dongfeng Technical School, he became the "next generation of Dongfeng people".

"At that time, the mold and mold worker was more popular, but I felt that the engine was the 'heart' of the car, so I wanted to delve into this thing." Recalling his original intention, Yang Jun was still full of excitement. After graduation, he successfully passed the recruitment examination and entered the technical center at that time, becoming an engine tester.

What really made Yang Jun's understanding of the engine grow rapidly was after Yang Jun joined the engine laboratory of the DPCA Automobile Technology Center in 1997. Until 2009, he was transferred to the company's technology center, during which time, he also read the Wuhan Municipal Staff University Economics Management College, Beijing Jiaotong University Transportation Management undergraduate degree.

In 2001, his father bought Yang Jun a Shenlong Fukang sedan, which had excellent performance in that year, which made the young man completely "obsessed" with the engine. "Almost every month, I debug the valves in my car." Yang Jun introduced that because the operating conditions after the engine is loaded, it is more complicated than in the test room, which can make his understanding of the engine more in-depth.

"During the rapid growth period of that skill, I can't remember how many times the engine was dismantled, I can't tell." In 2009, the engine laboratory of Dongfeng's technology center was still under construction, just a construction site, but the development and verification of Dongfeng's first self-owned brand passenger car engine has been started. At this time, entering the technical center of "lack of personnel and lack of experience and lack of equipment" is undoubtedly a choice for Yang Jun to "get out of the comfort zone".

In the early days of building the engine test bench, Yang Jun did not have more manpower around him, but the operation test of the engine could not be delayed. In order to improve the efficiency of the test, from 7 o'clock every morning to 11 o'clock in the evening, Yang Jun used tenacious perseverance to stick to the laboratory alone. It wasn't until three months later that he and his colleagues began working morning and evening shifts.

Gradually, the shift system of "people stopping without stopping" in the laboratory began to take shape, and everyone would record the engine testing of each shift in writing. At each shift handover, the shift staff spends a lot of time to explain the handover to the shift staff. In this regard, Yang Jun moved his brain.

Yang Jun put forward requirements for the test team: when the shift is handed over, there must not only be a text and a picture, but also a sound and a video. "The text is not as good as the picture, the picture is not as good as the video, so the efficiency of the handover shift has increased a lot." Yang Jun showed reporters the photographic equipment in the studio, not only A SLR camera, but even a light and a receiver, "In order to record engine failures, I am about to become a photography expert!" ”

"All-media" recording of experimental data has played a greater role in improving work efficiency. Adding a more comprehensive means of recording, Yang Jun strives to study each case thoroughly, turn it into experience, and summarize it into a library. Today, Yang Jun's team has built the accumulated information into an engine failure case database, extending from the engine field to the vehicle field, and has collected more than 100 cases.

At present, new energy vehicles have embarked on the historical stage, and the pattern of fuel engines as the only power source of automobiles has been broken. In the face of technological changes in the industry, Yang Jun has thought a lot.

He told reporters that among all the components on the car, the internal structure of the engine is the most precise, and the accuracy of the work difference even reaches the miao level (1 miu is equal to 0.001 mm). The other parts of the car are "much simpler", and he can try to explore other areas.

"Diagnosing engine failure is actually dealing with metal, water, oil, electricity, temperature and other things on its body." According to this principle, Yang Jun can accumulate half a lifetime of experience and apply it to the fault diagnosis of the chassis and structural parts of the vehicle.
