The GL8 was developed by the Pan Asia Automotive Technical Center in Shanghai, China. The exterior of the model has an irresistible sense of movement, and the sculptural surface is extremely bold. In terms of styling, the body color scheme complements the panoramic roof, which is a glass skylight that extends from the front to the rear to improve aerodynamics.

Hyundai's design team reinterpreted the first-generation Grandeur as a pure electric vehicle, featuring parametric pixel-specific lights unlike the Ioniq 5 production model, and an ultra-modern interior wrapped in burgundy velvet and Nappa leather.
