Volvo said it will build a new technology center in Stockholm, Sweden, which will provide 700 jobs in software engineering, data analysis, product management, online business and user experience.
The technology center is Volvo Cars' current expansion project in Stockholm and will build on existing online sales and product development, which is a key area of Volvo's ongoing transformation. It will support Volvo's strong growth and the company's goal of achieving it in the middle of the next decade — more than half of its cars are sold online and more than half of its software is developed in-house.
