The Lexus CT200h will be discontinued in October this year and a special edition model will be introduced

As a luxury brand under Toyota, Lexus has been at the forefront of the used car retention rate for many years with its excellent body quality and reliability, and has always had good sales in the North American market. However, it has been reported recently that Lexus' hybrid model CT200h will be completely discontinued in Japan in October this year. To commemorate the model, Lexus created a final special edition model and called it a "cherished journey.". The car is currently on sale in Japan, starting at about $36,580.

Lexus CT200h Precious Travel Edition

The Lexus CT200h Rare Travel Edition features two unique color schemes of graphite black and quartz white, while adding shiny silver trims to the main grille, fog lights and rear bumper. In terms of overall styling, the special edition model is not much different from the previous CT200h, and it is still the iconic spindle grille of the Lexus family. In addition, the roof of the special edition model has also been specially treated, using a silver color scheme, which is different from the body color and forms a double color block shape, which further highlights the difference of this special edition model.

In terms of interior, the special edition has a two-color interior, with the seats and door panels in black on the lower part and the upper part in dark red. Door trims, dashboards, knee pads and steering wheels are decorated with red stitching. The model is formulated with a nose disc and seat heating function.

Like the regular version of the CT200h, the car is equipped with a hybrid system consisting of a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine and an electric motor, in which the four-cylinder engine itself produces 98 horsepower (73 kW) and 42 Nm of torque. The car's electric motor has 80.5 hp (60 kW) and 207 Nm of torque. While Lexus' Japanese website does not list the total output power of the CT200h powertrain, the specifications indicate that it has the same 134 hp (100 kW) as other market models.
