Lexus announced that it will stop production in Japan in October 2022. Prior to that, Lexus said it would also launch the final special edition model, in honor of its retirement, and called it the Cherry Touring.
This special commemorative edition CT200h will offer two exclusive color schemes. The front grille, fog lights and rear bumper will be decorated with shiny silver finishes. In addition, the roof of the new car will also be painted with its own Sonic Titanium metal color scheme, and it will be paired with a graphite black or pearl white body.
In terms of interior, the new car will also provide double color blocking and special stitching decoration, of which the seat and door panels will be black on the lower part and the upper part will be dark red. Matching red stitching is available on the door trim, dashboard, knee pads and steering wheel. In terms of configuration, the new car will be equipped with functions such as steering wheel and seat heating.
In terms of power, it is in line with the current CT200h, which is equipped with a hybrid system of a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine, which can produce 73 kW and 142 Nm of torque. The output power of the electric motor is 60 kW and 207 Nm. The current after-tax retail price of the CT200h Cherished Touring Edition in Japan is 4,223,000 yen (about 230,000 yuan).
The Lexus CT200h originally debuted at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show. According to Lexus, the CT200h has sold about 380,000 units worldwide so far.
