This is the most popular national cultural and artistic troupe in the province. The team members are composed of more than 600 retired employees of 11 nationalities such as Han, Yi, Hui, Miao, Bu, Zhuang, Manchu, Bai, Mongolian, and Mulao, and have repeatedly gone out of the province to Beijing to perform, playing a moving movement of national unity and progress.
This is one of the most accomplished Yi learning societies in the province. The Society is committed to the rescue and protection of Yi ancient books, collects 180 yi ancient books, translates and publishes the "Outline of Yi Ancient Books in Qujing, Yunnan", and has made due contributions to inheriting and promoting the excellent culture of the nation.
At the same time, he served as the head of the Qujing Municipal National Culture and Art Troupe and the president of the Qujing Yi Society for ten years, and the person who is currently the secretary of the special party branch of the YiXue Society is Li Hongchang, a member of the Communist Party of China and a retired cadre of the Qujing Municipal Sectarian Committee.
Li Hongchang, who retired in 2002, was unmoved by high-paying employment, but he was engaged in this unpaid "chore", what made him so "obsessed"?
Retirement is never a retirement
Born in 1951, Li Hongchang was under 51 years old when he retired in 2002, just when he was rich and powerful. When one of his compatriots learned of his retirement, he visited his home and hoped that he would work in his own business and pay him 3,000 yuan a month. This was already a huge income at the time.
However, Li Hongchang was not moved in the end, politely refused the kindness of his fellow villagers, and continued to serve as the head of the Qujing City National Culture and Art Troupe, a "chore" that did not have a penny of remuneration but instead filled in financial and material resources. He said that retirement cannot be retired, I was the head of the regiment before retirement, and after retirement, I still have to shoulder this burden. If I pick a pick, the art troupe that I had built so hard would break up.
Qujing National Culture and Art Troupe was established in December 1998 and is affiliated to Qujing Civic Writers association. It is a typical non-governmental mass organization and social group. It has neither a single financial allocation, nor a rehearsal venue, nor a high-level teacher. But it was Li Hongchang who painstakingly organized it, and he had an inseparable affection for the art troupe.
Li Hongchang always had a fire in his heart, burning before retirement and still burning after retirement. For more than 20 years, he has regarded the prosperity and development of national culture and art as a cause, devoted himself to the work of the art troupe, and turned the most inconspicuous, most difficult, and most loose amateur literary and art team into the most attractive, powerful, most prosperous, and largest "literary and artistic light horse" and artistic miracle in Qujing and even the whole province, which has become a beautiful landscape in Qujing's ethnic minority cultural activities.
Over the past 20 years, this amateur literary and art group has continued to grow and develop. The team members have developed from dozens of people at the beginning of their establishment to 625 people now; from the Yi compatriots as the main body to the current Han, Yi, Hui, Miao, Cloth, Zhuang, Manchu, Bai, Mongolian, Mulao and other 11 ethnic groups; from 2 performance teams to the current 21 performance teams, including 16 dance teams, a fashion team, a choir team, three pipe bands, a folk band, can be called a dance, fashion, chorus, folk music, wind music and other types of the most complete team.
Over the past 20 years, from cities to villages, from government organs to troops, from enterprises to schools, from homes for the elderly to drug rehabilitation centers and labor camps, from within the province to outside the province, this "literary and artistic light horse" has been active everywhere. Daily performances, special performances, condolence performances, festival performances, performances on behalf of the local government into the province of Shangjing to report performances, competition performances... The company's footprint continues to extend. There are more than 200 performances every year, with a total of more than 3,120 performances and more than 1.8 million audiences; it has participated in more than 200 competitions in various provinces, cities and counties in the country, and won 251 awards and trophies. Li Hongchang himself has been commended by the municipal party committee and government and other departments for many times.
At the Beijing Nationalities Palace, they created and performed their own performances of the Yunnan National Characteristics Literary and Art Program, participated in the "Colorful China - Chinese National Folk Costume Culture Exhibition and China Intangible Cultural Heritage Achievements Rescue Project Achievements Exhibition", 12 consecutive performances in 12 days, fully affirmed by the Beijing audience and the organizers, the folk art troupe won the China Federation of Literature and Literature and the China Nationalities Association issued a major outstanding organization award, as Li Hongchang himself also issued the "Personal Contribution Award", made due contributions to the publicity of Qujing and the promotion of Yunnan.
For more than 20 years, this literary and artistic "light cavalry" has played a moving music of national unity and progress. His self-created Yi dance "Big Three String Dance" won the "Mountain Flower Gold Award" in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, the self-created aquatic dance "Swallowing Dance" participated in the Jiangxi Nanchang International Wu Culture and Art Competition and won the Outstanding Performance Award, and "We Are on the Taihang Mountain" won the third prize in the Provincial Literary and Art Competition of "Yunling Sons and Daughters' Hearts to the Party" for the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Party in Yunnan Province. The song "The Great Bowl of the Yi Family" compiled by bi Guanglian, a member of the group, spread throughout the zhuyuan land, and another song he created, "Beautiful Hometown Pearl River Source", was rated as one of the ten favorite songs of the people of Qujing.
In addition, more than 100 songs such as "Liao Kuo Shan", "Little Brother and Little Sister", "Magical Stone Forest" and other songs compiled and created by Mr. Deng Zhiming, consultant of the art troupe, as well as more than 500 short, concise, easy-to-understand and refreshing performances such as the Yi dance "Little Three String Dance" and "Yueqin Dance" written and performed by the team members, the Miao dance "Lusheng Dance", and the Shui ethnic dance "Swallowing Dance", which are popular and enjoyed by the masses. The National Culture and Art Troupe has also been commended many times, and in 2004, the Provincial Department of Civil Affairs awarded the title of outstanding society in the province, and in 2009, it was awarded the title of "Advanced Collective" by the Municipal Party Committee and Government.
More importantly, the National Culture and Art Troupe is like a united and harmonious bond, allowing more than 600 members of 11 nationalities to form a big national family, inheriting national culture, enhancing national unity and promoting social harmony. Most of the members of the art troupe are laid-off retired workers from bankrupt enterprises in Qujing, who retired early and laid-off after their units went bankrupt, with low income and treatment, and heavy ideological baggage. But when I arrived at the National Art Troupe, everyone sang and danced, like brothers and sisters, in a comfortable mood, in good health, and felt that life was full.
Behind the success is the hard work, especially the efforts of Li Hongchang, the head of the art troupe. In the art troupe, everyone recognized that Li Hongchang was the most able to bear hardships and was most willing to dedicate. The organization, liaison, and arrangement of the proposed program list to the stage of each theatrical performance, the carpeting, the support of the stereo, the hanging of the cloth label, the hanging of the background wall, the lifting of the table and stool, etc. took the lead, and the hundreds of people in the regiment admired one by one, and everyone raised their thumbs, and one of the captains said that the leader of the regiment was sixty or seventy years old and so bitter, if it was my father, I really did not want it. A leader in the city once said that Li Hongchang sincerely led the team, led people with affection, and was the leader of the team, without him, the team would be scattered, let alone achieve any results. With him, the team lives. Just like a cultural professional said: It is difficult for the state-raised literary and artistic teams to engage in, and your country does not have such a large amateur literary and artistic team with a single point of appropriation, and it has also made this river rise and rise, so vigorously, I admire. Li Hongchang said, I have so much ability, the team's achievements are the result of everyone's unity and dedication, is the result of the sincere support of leaders at all levels and departments, relatives and friends, I am just for my beloved cause, willing to pay more.
Dedicate your remaining heat
Li Hongchang graduated from the Department of History of Peking University in July 1977, and from 1985 to 1986, he went to the Central University for Nationalities to study the translation and collation of ancient ethnic books.
In order to carry forward the excellent national culture and rescue and protect the ancient books of Qujing Yi, Qujing City established the Yi Studies Society in July 2010. Li Hongchang once again took up a burden and served as the president of the society. Since then, he has had an additional "president" status, and in August 2019, he was reappointed as the secretary of the special party branch of the society, and devoted himself to this.
Together with the comrades of the Minzong Committee, he organized personnel to collect ancient yi books throughout the city. From 2011 to 2013, in three years, a comprehensive census and collection of Yi ancient books was carried out throughout the city, and 180 Yi documents were collected, including 4 pieces of genealogy and 5 inscriptions, with a total of 8884 pages and more than 2.2 million words. These ancient Yi books include the Book of Datong, the Guiding Classic, the Book of Almanacs, the Book of Sacrifice to the Dragon, the Book of Funeral Sacrifice, the Book of Seeking Medicine, the Book of Summoning Souls, the Book of Marriage, the Book of Choosing a Day, and the Book of Offering Wine. According to the assessment of Professor Wang Jichao, an expert in Yi studies, of the 180 yi ancient books, 8 have reached the national level, 22 have reached the provincial level, and more than 100 have reached the municipal level.
In order to give full play to the important value of yi ancient books in the study of Yi history, religious beliefs, language and writing, literature and art. Together with the comrades of the Minzong Committee, he also organized the personnel to copy these ancient Yi books into a book on paper and keep them in many places. Not only that, but all the ancient Yi books were scanned, digitally photographed, all turned into electronic documents, and 7 yi ancient books were repaired, so that these "treasures" would never be lost or destroyed again. In 2015, he asked someone to translate each book into a content summary, and edited and published the "Outline of Ancient Books of Yi In Qujing, Yunnan", which won the third prize of Qujing Social Science Achievements in 2017.
To carry forward the excellent culture of the nation, the emphasis is on the successors. To this end, Li Hongchang led the personnel of the Yi Society to the county (city) township (town) to hold bilingual education, Yi cultural inheritance training class and Bimo training class and other activities. In 2015, a bilingual on-site teaching demonstration class was held at Longqing Primary School of Yi and Miao Zhuang Nationality Township in Shizong, the first Bimo training class was held in Guishan Town, Shilin County in 2015, and a seven-day Yi cultural inheritance training course was held in Dongshan Town, Xuanwei City in July 2016. At the same time, in cooperation with Qujing Normal College, through holding Yi festival activities, organizing and mobilizing college students to write research papers on Yi culture, so that everyone can understand and understand the traditional cultural customs of the Yi people, care about and love the national culture, and consciously assume the historical responsibility of carrying forward the excellent traditional culture of the nation.
All the way to the hard work, all the way to the harvest. Due to the outstanding achievements of the Yi Society, in October 2013, Comrade Li Hongchang was selected and commended by the Qujing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China as an "Advanced Worker in Social Sciences in Qujing City".
Forget the gratitude of the party
"I volunteered to join the Communist Party of China and support the party's program ... We are always ready to sacrifice everything for the party and the people and never betray the party. I am an ethnic minority cadre trained by the party and the people, and I am the luckiest of the people born in the 50s. What a favor the party and the people have sent me, a sheep herder from a poor Yi family, to Peking University and the Central University for Nationalities to study! There is nothing more important to drink water than to turn gratitude into a trip to repay kindness. I have a belief that I must repay the kindness of the party and the people to me.
Li Hongchang said this, and even more so. Over the past 21 years, the Qujing National Culture and Art Troupe has always adhered to the correct political orientation, adhered to the "double hundred" policy, enthusiastically praised the Communist Party of China, acuras the great motherland, and acura reform and opening up, sang the main theme of the times, and enhanced the great unity of the nation. For example, on the night of the Eighteenth National Congress, in the Pearl River Source Square, they quickly undertook the only special celebration performance, and the provincial and municipal television stations reported that night. Shortly after the Eighteenth and Nineteenth National Congresses of the Communist Party of China were convened, they choreographed lantern songs and dances, performed programs that were popular with the masses, such as "The Spirit of the Eighteenth National Congress Shines Brightly" and "Ode to the Nineteenth National Congress," and also rehearsed programs in the form of allegro, such as "The Party's Ethnic Policy is Good," to publicize the Party's ethnic policy, which was deeply loved by the audience.
During the period when Qujing City was founded as a national civilized city, Li Hongchang organized the members of the art troupe to rehearse more than 60 literary and artistic programs, such as the Allegro "Twenty Articles of Qujing Civilization", the rap performance lyric "Shop Around Qujing's New Look", the skit "Be a Civilized Qujing Person", the three-and-a-half sentence "Creating Literature is Good", the dance "Where is Civilization", and the poetry recitation "Law in My Heart", and performed more than 60 times in 43 communities in 11 streets in 4 districts of Qujing City. The splendid literary and artistic performances have enriched the community culture, promoted social harmony, and sung the main theme of the times when the Communist Party is good, socialism is good, and reform and opening up are good.
It is not easy to manage and lead an amateur literary and artistic team with more than 600 people of 21 teams and 11 nationalities! However, Li Hongchang has his own "panacea"; he sincerely runs the group, leads the group with affection, tries his best to do things, is not afraid of suffering, tiredness, and dirtiness, always bears hardships everywhere, and leads by example, so that this amateur team can unite and cooperate, pass on the torch, and develop and grow. He said that in the 20 years since I retired, I have been busy every day, there is always not enough time, and I feel that I am much busier than before I retired, and many holidays and weekends have to work overtime. A Party member cannot be selfish, think only of his own affairs, and do what is beneficial to the Party, the country, and the people. Therefore, he regarded folk art, ethnic culture and art, and Yi culture as a cause, and lived a full and happy life.
The famous poet Ai Qing said, why do I often have tears in my eyes? Because I love this land deeply. Li Hongchang said: I was born in this hot land, and the kindness of the party and the people cannot be repaid in my lifetime.
