It is obviously the script of the Naxi people, why is it called Dongba script?
The Naxi people believe in Dongba religion (originated from primitive witch religion, and has the characteristics of both primitive witch religion and religion), and the high priest in the religion is also revered as "Dongba", which means wise man.
As high-level intellectuals of the Naxi ethnic group, they are proficient in song, dance, scripture, history, painting, medicine, agriculture and animal husbandry, and are the main inheritors of Dongba culture.
