With the sound of magnificent music, "Zhang Qian" acupuncture and treatment for the terminally ill "Prince of Tianma", "Prince" gradually healed, "Queen" finally stretched his brows, and the name of the Envoy of the Han Dynasty praised the Western Regions... This is a scene of the recent historical theme dance drama "Zhang Qian" in Urumqi, Xinjiang.

Actor Ma Yire Amatjan (hereinafter referred to as Ma Yire) is one of the main actors of the play, playing the queen of the Celestial Horse Kingdom in the play. She said: "As a ethnic minority dancer in Xinjiang, it is very meaningful to participate in such a historical dance drama, tell the Story of China with practical actions, and carry forward traditional Chinese culture." ”

Ma Yire, 35, from Urumqi, Xinjiang, showed his dance talent at the age of 4 and went to Beijing alone at the age of 11 to study with a professional dance teacher. After that, Ma Yire interned at the Chinese Opera and Dance Theatre. Ben had the opportunity to stay, but out of love for his hometown and dedication to Folk Songs and Dances in Xinjiang, Ma Yire finally chose to return to Xinjiang and become a dancer in the Song and Dance Troupe of the Xinjiang Art Theater.

"Xinjiang is the land of song and dance, and men, women and children can sing and dance." Ma Yire introduced that for twenty years, in order to show the beauty of Xinjiang dance more well, she would practice hard in the rehearsal room for more than ten hours every day, splitting forks, lower waist, pressing legs... She knows that the details determine success or failure, and that tall buildings start from the earth.

Effort pays off. Today, she is the principal dancer of the song and dance troupe, and has won many awards in large competitions in Xinjiang and at home and abroad. As a dancer, she not only dedicated her beautiful dance gestures to Chinese audiences, but also performed in more than 30 countries such as Germany, Norway and Sweden with the troupe, spreading traditional Chinese culture all over the world.

"Songs and dances in Xinjiang are part of traditional Chinese culture and are used to celebrate a better life. I hope that my dance can enhance the feelings between various ethnic groups and promote the integration of cultures. Through his dance, Ma Yire hopes to let more people understand the diverse and harmonious Xinjiang and understand the ancient and modern China.
