The Pentium B70S was officially released on February 20, offering a total of 7 models with 1.5T and 2.0T power, and the pre-sale price was 110,900-143,900 yuan.

What does the B70S have to do with the B70?
When I saw the name of the car and did not see the car, I thought that the B70S was a sporty version of the B70, after all, the deep-rooted idea made me think that the S represented the sport. But after seeing the B70S, I was once again punched in the face by my own sloppiness, because it was a compact SUV.
The B70S uses a similar front face design to the B70, especially the headlights, which basically belong to the same design. However, compared with the family face design adopted by other models of Pentium, the B70S medium net connects the lights, and the size of the lower air intake is increased, which is more dynamic.

Two dynamics to meet different needs
The new B70S car offers two powertrains, 1.5T and 2.0T, with a maximum horsepower of 169 hp and a maximum torque of 258 Nm, matching a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The 2.0T engine has a maximum horsepower of 224 hp and a maximum torque of 340 Nm, matching a 6-speed manual transmission.
Objectively speaking, the power level of the Pentium B70S 1.5T engine is not eye-catching today, it belongs to the decent level, and the Blue Whale NE 1.5T of Changan UNI-T is much better than this parameter.
As for the 2.0T engine, the power does not have to worry, but the 6AT competitiveness it is equipped with does not see any advantage at present, after all, the 2.0T version of UNI-T is not only stronger in power indicators, but also the gearbox has used the Aisin 8AT - the key is that the price is basically the same.
Speaking of price, the manufacturer also gave everyone a problem, the Pentium B70S 1.5T high-end model (Zhichao Commander Edition) pre-priced at 127,900, and the 2.0T minimum model (hot blood version) is also 127,900. So the question is, how will you choose in the case of the same price, different configurations, and different power?

From the perspective of the overall product strength of the Pentium B70S, the appearance is a major highlight, followed by the power is divided into high and low versions to meet the needs of different consumers. It is worth mentioning that the pre-price of the more powerful 2.0T model is only 127,900 at the lowest, which is a relatively thick approach.
In the past two years, at a price of about 150,000, independent brands are increasing the layout of 2.0T models, Changan, Great Wall, Geely, Chery, etc. Are no exception, and now, with the addition of the Besturn B70S, the choice of this market has been enriched again, which is naturally good news for consumers.
However, the author is curious, whether the Pentium B70S wants to take the practical route of home stability or the sports control route? My personal advice is that the main sport manipulation may be easier for young consumers to buy, and Changan UNI-T has set an example for everyone. However, in the face of the market's preconceived UNI-T, whether the Pentium B70S can get a piece of the pie, manufacturers also need to think carefully about the opponent's playing style.
